  • true, if it was a company like suse,redhat who was for-profit and had a good browser engine then sure if its like google then maybe but for-profit companies are known to be problematic.

  • I got a Samsung phone (not from usa) and there is a 50/50 it can be unlocked,but the hardware on this phone is great so hopefully someone will make a rom for it and i can easily unlock it.

  • Personally it depends on distro and package manager.If your on arch yes you can in a easyish way some aur packages may require you to compile it.Other distros you can either compile the software from source or convert .deb to .rpm (for example) this is mediumish and takes time to do.
