  • Alr yw

  • Just a note: its more of a Personal information manager(it includes calender, contacts,to do,etc) rather then just a email client

  • Depends on the distro here is a list based on my experience

    • Opensuse: medium-ish
    • Fedora: easy (requires a third party repo)
    • Linux Mint: Pretty sure easy
    • Cachyos/bazzite/nobara Very easy (comes with the distro)

The .run on nvidias website it's harder and requires some linux experience

  • Wonder if I will stay on cinnamon(not in linux mint) after cosmic comes out in a stable phase

  • If you want extra security turn it on or you want windows or any game (looking at you vanguard)to shutup about security boot being offThe only problem with security boot if you care about this is that it's managed by Microsoft(most of the time)

  • because Sadly Reddit is bigger then Lemmy and hopefully Lemmy will grow more.

  • Pretty sure tails os :P

  • Hopefully they start selling the Linux version in my country ngl

  • Give Cinnamon/Budgie a shot, (I recommend in a vm and see which one you like)both are based on gnome(cinnamon personally its like a combination between gnome 3 ane xfce).I have the same experience with kde personally(Like it crashes sometimes, looks dated, etc it didnt crash that badly for me), and I decided to desktop hop to Cinnamon.

    Yes I have Nvidia

  • I just use the automatic thingy on my distro so like:

    • Esp: 2GB (Limine + btrfs snapshot booting)
    • root: all the drive
  • Sure, ngl I prefer the apps and stuff downloading on the main machine

  • Ohhh yeah I had bazzite, fedora immutable spins and stuff in my head.I completely forgot about nixos

    1. I don't really want to use Containerized packaging (flatpak, appimage nixos solves this nicely but its not my distro)
    2. They don't offer many desktop envoirments (typo sorry but nixos also solves this )
    3. I like my current distro
  • Oh okay

  • Because for it to run it needs a patched version of wine with dxcore support(or smth like this)

  • It requires a custom version of wine

  • PC: Cachyos love the aur and the compiler optimizations + they compile or put aur packages in their repos which saves time by not making you compile anything

Laptop: Linux mint easy to use and stable

    Phone: Android (does it count??)
