  • Such a shame -- I love a good em dash. Gives a conversational tone while looking much better than ellipses.

  • Yes, they are, but why not minimize any possible pain? They're not going to taste any different.

The way to go is oysters. They have no pain receptors or even a cluster of nerves that could be considered a rudimentary brain. You can eat them still alive (raw on the half shell) and they're none the wiser.

  • Hey friend your definition agrees with me. Yes language is fluid and I'm not a prescriptivist, but when it becomes the opposite meaning in one generation then it makes communication confusing.

You could say it one way and be understood by everyone or say it the other way and be vague. Which would you prefer?

Honestly, personally, I'm just going to assume someone using it the other way is a little stupid.

  • It's definitely not the saying. You've heard it wrong or heard your peers saying it wrong. Just apply the slightest bit of critical thinking here.

I could not care less - I couldn't care less - there is no way I could care less than I already do - I don't care at all

I could care less - I could care any amount about the subject, totally ambiguous. Perhaps it's the most important thing in the world to me, therefore I could care less.

Saying it the second way makes you sound like someone who doesn't care about the meaning of their words.

  • Israel?

  • Everything but that last one is within your reach. I weigh 180 pounds but there is no chance I could carry someone the same weight 60 meters, and I consider myself in decent shape.

I just did some work with a tool that weighs 70 pounds and i can barely lift it into a truck.

  • Apologies in advance if you are disabled, but if you can't stand for 40 minutes+ then I think the first thing to work on is your endurance. Even if it doesn't lead to more hang time with your friends, it will be rewarding for you and probably mitigate the chance of early death.

  • These "cheap family farms" are worth millions and millions of dollars. Farmers pretend to be hard working blue collar but are in reality wealthy beyond our dreams.

  • "Small" farmers own millions in land and equipment. Mom and Pop farmers are essentially a myth at this point.

  • More likely measles. Most people have had chicken pox the old fashioned way because the vaccine wasn't available when we were kids.

  • Sorry

  • deducts?

  • Yeah what the hell does that mean anyway?

  • T-Bag is like a Captain Planet villain. He's tilting at windmills again.

  • Yeah, many products had (and still have) reduced fat but added sugar. Sugar belongs in desserts in my opinion. Eating fat doesn't make you fat.

  • He did a live press conference yesterday, directly addressing the rumor of his death. Sadly.

  • My old work van ran 80 psi tires. They looked very much like passenger car tires but I assume they were different. I was surprised when I first looked it up.

  • Super high pressure tires are supposed to be taken off and filled inside a tire cage for this reason. There are videos, I remember one where a guy had his clothes blown off, others not so lucky.
