    Again, your definition is not the standard definition. Tankies love tanks. And Communism. And Stalin. Which is funny, because Stalin wasn't much of a communist.

    I use the standard definition, that's it. I am not familiar with the tankies you describe, I haven't met them... Tankies hating tanks seems wrong to me. Back in the day when word originated they loved the T-34 tank and Russia in WW2 and so on.

    Where can I find YOUR definition of "tankie", the peace loving gentle communist who hates tanks? Seriously? And what do you think the "tank" in "tankie" comes from?

    They know how to get votes, they have study groups and polls and a thousand other ways to manipulate the electorate. The key to winning elections is to

    1. Include Independent voters in your platform so that they vote for you.
    2. Spend millions on advertising and so on.

    Biggest spender wins over 90% of the time. You don't get to be the biggest spender by prole donations. The biggest "donators" are JP Morgan, Citibank, Bank of America, Musk, and so on.

    They don't need to "steal" elections. They are bought, legally. See Super PACs.

    After there's nothing left but smoking rubble, the IMF (controlled by the same concerns) will give the winner a "loan." The winner won't be able to pay off those loans, so what will they do? Provide them with more loans to cover those loans. The interest is all profit, and the "loan" is never actual printed money in circulation and is "virtual money", so it costs them nothing. They collect all of that interest with no cost to themselves.

    I'm simplifying, it's actually much worse than I describe. The more you investigate it, the worse it gets...

    Right or left, all are getting screwed , "The Bank" doesn't care about politics.

  • People make mistakes with pronouns constantly, as pronouns are not "exact" and are themselves placeholders, an approximation for the subject to avoid nearly constant repetition.

    Once you start correcting the pronouns of others, you make conversations about anything else virtually impossible. It's the destroyer of many threads, done purposefully or not.

    As they say in linguistics, just go with it; only then will you get to THE SUBJECT itself

  • ICE is an American institution, so the pronouns are used appropriately.

    Otherwise, they'd have to replace the pronoun "their" with "Immigration and Customs Enforcement", or ICE again in the same sentence, and so on.

    Pronouns are used as a substitute for the subject so that you don't have to use the same exact term repeatedly in conversation.

    The pronouns following the subject all pertain to the subject until the subject is changed.

    This is ENGLISH!

  • Some of this country is very white. Do you think the cops police them differently? That they treat poor white people with respect?

    No, and they never have. They prey on the poor and most vulnerable. If there's a wealthy non-white community, they will always "get a pass".

    A perfect example of this in action is the homeless. How do the cops treat the homeless? Are they kind and merciful to the white ones?

    Are they racist? Many of them are, of course (and sexist, etc).

    But they ALL prey on the impoverished by design.
