  • I'm not a biologist and this may be a stupid question, but are this monster's eyes armored? Armored eyeballs?

  • No "private conversation with my friends" was interrupted. A public conversation was interrupted rudely, to the benefit of absolutely no one.

You don't like my example, fine. Still, should you do this in public ANYWHERE on earth, you will be looked at with distaste.

I eagerly await you continuing to defend your lack of civility, because that's what impolite people do.

Nobody holding a conversation here (or anywhere) will ever accommodate you, you will always feel left out and ostracized. Not because of where you are from, but because of what you are.

I should have responded to your contribution with "no shit", and this is my mistake.

So, in closing, "People from other countries can't vote for a US president? No fucking shit."

  • Oh geez, using that logic, no criminal used due process to murder, rape, steal, so they can't be charged.

Stephen Miller is truly the Chief of Staff we deserve.

  • There are something like 10 million students attending Christian school and the like, and another 5 million or so being home schooled.

They don't really believe in the scientific method and critical thinking, in general. At least in my experience as a student of a Christian school. I had no idea.

  • You must always remember, propaganda is everywhere (now more than ever), and it can be true (though often a bit sideways).

I think it's best to look at what is done, not what is said. For example, Biden's campaign was strong on minimum wage, did the Ds increase minimum wage when he was in office? Nah. Trump's campaign was strong on "cleaning the swamp", did he clear the swamp when he was in office? Nah.

The problem is taking them seriously. Look at who pays their bills... what do they want? That's what will be done, they're not backing campaigns out of charity or patriotism.

  • Pay attention to this nuance... regardless of who holds office, unions lose membership and power every day in the USA. Democrats can't stem the tide.

Are they irrevocably incompetent? Are you on the short bus?

  • Jesus Himself said "All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."

So, you don't have to cut your balls off, that's silly. BUT it's perfectly fine if you do.

  • But let's all remember that in those times, your neighbors were your people, your family and tribe; not just a random stranger (which could very well be your neighbor today).

  • These Christians apparently don't realize that Christians cut off their balls for many centuries, until the 1800s. The first council of Nicea was convened because of this very subject, to stop their priests and other eager converts from castrating themselves.

Jesus said it was fine, cut those buddies off! But, priests at Nicea Council disagreed, saying it's all metaphorical, stop doing that even though Jesus said you should do that.

So, if they are right and their God is the boss, their entire religion, from early days to Catholicism to today, is based on blasphemy.

Anyways, they should be if anything exuberantly trans.

  • Eureka! That explains the hundreds of thousands of suicides!

"I hung myself to get out of work, to sleep, perchance to dream..."

    What's her value?

  • See? Eheran GOT YOU. He knew that Tyson was joking, so he played it straight and made you look like a dupe!

Oh wait, you're doing the straight man switcheroo, I've been bamboozled again.

  • Probably because he was a Christian.

    He's dead. I'm sorry, son

  • It's almost as if the incumbents are "trounced" every couple years or so.

Why? Because we have two options attached to their corporate sponsors (i.e. they do what they are paid to do, please check out Super PACs).

One corporate shill is religious flavored (the only reason they are still a viable party), the other corporate shill is secular, both do exactly as they are paid to do. These are not popular measures, so of course the incumbent is blamed, the scapegoat for their good cop/bad cop routine.

There are so many "old reliables", like the southern border, that chestnut has paid off so many times for decades.

  • If Nigeria kicks our ass I give up.

  • They can't see the forest through the trees; they have the same problem with their preachers/pastors/priests.

They are gullible to their "spiritual leaders" and impose those spiritual qualities on their politicians, not to say that Democrats are less gullible, they are just gullible about other things.

  • Meanwhile, our Navy's skeleton crews have a tough enough time simply avoiding ramming tankers. Maintenance is also suffering, and since we have the largest fleet on Earth, it all seems rather pointless.

The money would be better spent on our existing fleet, I think.

  • Unions have been squashed for decades, they used to be 40% or so, now down to 10%.

People will blame Reagan, but let's be real they are trying to erase unions every day (and succeeding in USA).

BoTh PaRtIes are anti-union and pro-owner. Because they have the most money to "donate", there's no big conspiracy, just math. People who have no money don't contribute to political campaigns, yet free speech is money, or something.

  • No such assumption or claim was made at any time, please pay attention!

YOU were in a thread about US politics and President Trump, and acted like you don't know what "our" means in that context.

You assumed that I was making an assumption. Don't do that. If you did this in public, you would be treated with disdain in any civilized company.

A group of people are talking, you overhear "Let's go to our favorite restaurant!"

You interject "It's not MY favorite restaurant, don't make assumptions."

The speaker looks at you with contempt. "I wasn't talking to you".

  • Ah abortion, the "old reliable" issue they started dragging out every few years in the 70s.

Notice how the "issues" are never about busting monopolies, strengthening unions, and other real concerns that involve decades of rampant abuse and billions upon billions of dollars. No, let's argue about private medical issues instead, forever.
