  • yoho!

  • A lot of games seem to be trying to make direct copies of the UI from Breath of the Wild. Palworld comes to mind.

  • Diablo was doing that long before Minecraft came along.

  • VLC if you just want to watch it, MakeMKV/Handbrake if you want to rip it to a file.

VLC does have the codecs included, you're likely just not opening it properly.

  • Wordpress is Open Source. Assuming the license is kept in tact and not violated, anyone can fork the code repository and release it to the public.

  • Find where the cellular antenna is, and cover it with a rudimentary faraday cage.

  • Usenet often uses obfuscation to hide the contents of the files, which defeats most of the bots which are only matching filenames to their protected content.

I also prefer Usenet since I can encrypt my connection, whereas torrents require a bit more faith in your VPN provider than I'm comfortable with.

  • Maybe the Sikhs would feel less threatened if the Indian Government wasn't literally threatening their lives?

  • Hardly dystopian. They just had someone who understands how tech works on staff.

  • Pointing out what a moron this guy was is not the same thing as agreeing with Nintendo's shitty legal practices.

  • Ubuntu for my servers, and Linux Mint for my Workstation.

I grew up using Debian-based distros, so it's what I'm comfortable with. I like how Mint seems to "just work" most of the time, especially with samba shares and usb peripherals.

Ubuntu server is primarily because it's incredibly easy to get support when you need it.

  • My god that might just work, I've used RS Toolkit a bunch and forgot it had that feature!

  • I've had the MSN message sound as my SMS Ringer for years now. The looks I get from people are fantastic.

  • Yeah I figured this was the case. Ah well!
