  • What's the most expensive thing you broke as a kid and what's the story behind it?

  • VHS player when I was a toddler. Was in the daycare and saw a cord, so naturally I pulled it. It was on top of the TV, which was bolted to the wall high up. Shattered on impact. Nearly fell on my head too.

  • Baldur's Gate 3, four playthroughs back to back, two of em multiplayer. I still play it every now and then when I want to continue my honor run.

  • Have such a hard time upvoting this, solely because OP posted their budget and they could get something much better. Apple is nice, but you'll be paying out the wazoo to be limited to their ecosystem. Nice, intuitive ecosystem, wont lie. Really pays to be in it, but getting out is hell.

    Honestly I'd rather do the extra leg work of finding good enough replacements for basic mac functionality than getting an apple product. I'm hella biased though.

  • Yeah. Like, Johnny had some good points all throughout the game. V even was a victim of corpo supreme power (sure he stole the tech and put it in his noggin, but still). Yet V defends the status quo mocking Johnny's anticapitalist thought in many convos. Wish V was less lib. Of all people, he has a good reason to hate the status quo.

  • Coffee. I'm in a coffee producing country. It could be as cheap as grabbing a bag from the coffee institute (really good and cheap), a cloth filter and call it a day. Instead, I'm on my second espresso machine, fourth grinder, second portafilter set, and have all the doodads to make it just how I like it.

  • Hey there, I was right there with you about a year ago. Couple years ago I easily read through 50 books in a year, then right at the end of college I couldn't even begin one. After 3 years being out, I finally finished a couple books in less than half a year.

    What helped is reading something easy and fun. Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy was it for me. Nowadays I'm doing therapy as well, which helps. I'm nowhere near as voracious a reader as I once was but I'm a different person than I was years ago, so that's fine.
