Honestly, for a community (lemmy) that wanted to get away from corporate stuff (reddit) it pains me to see how even the most basic thing to draw is being delegated to Ai (corporations).
I'm a senior developer and I sometimes even look back thinking "how the fuck did I make that mistake yesterday". I know I'm blind to my own mistakes, so I know testers may have some really valid feedback when I think I did everything right :)
If someone wants to jump into a cavern and use strength to flap his arms to fly, rolling a d20 can be to see how much the person fucked up. A 20 isn't an automatic success.
Same when someone mixes a potion, the d20 may be to see how much it will poison the creator if they drink it.
I'm in the process of moving all my cloud things away from American businesses. It's either European alternatives (like netcup for hosting) or self-hosting. Just ripped my audible collection after canceling it. Already got rid of a lot of other things. Currently, I do not see the US as an ally.
