  • Btw, i use Artix.

  • If i understand this right, glassdoor is for anonymous tips/rating of emploers/working conditions?

Would that work as a Lemmy community?

  • A elegant and beautiful piece of code is art.

  • If a wire were a water stream:

    • Volt is water pressure (fast or slow stream)
    • Ampere how much water there is in the stream
    • Watt is pressure x amount
    • Ohm (resistance) is how much obstructions are in the stream
  • Is this launcher suitable for E-Ink devices? If not, has anyone a recommendation (preferably similiar). I currently use mlauncher but it has no icons.

  • MS, Facebook, Redhat.

  • I don't understand the interest in DNA as a storage. It's only long-living as part of the evolutionary proces in a living organism (with no guarantee for the survival of the data), but otherwise really fragile. And hard to interface and with slow read/write on top of that.

  • Putting it in a function and the setres "$@" bit is superfluous here.

  • Right, confused it with the splitting of lanes (M.2 x4 bays).

  • The thing called bifurcation?

  • Stealing the precious TV waves.

  • Would be interestng what in a superconducting (-271°C?) CPU happens. At least leakage due to tunneling effects should be reduced at -231°C.

  • There's multithreading mods for almost every mod-able game, be it Satisfactory, Rimworld or Oxygen not Included. For Dwarf Fortress not?

  • Pretty sure ads have to be identifiable as ads almost everywhere, against misinformation (because ads usually lie).

  • Seriously, i just googled how much energy would be needed to put 1Kg in LEO. Ofc there's a StakOverflow to it asking the same question and none of 4 answers answer the question and one is like "This seems like a complicated way of doing it. Instead of asking the minimum energy...".

  • They implemented some sort of OOP tho.

edit: I meant: the Linux devs implemented some sort of OOP in their C code in the kernel – is something i read forever ago.

  • Not update them? I think those tools are preconfigured to not autoupdate, no?
