  • I used to be a social smoker (cigarettes, shisha and randomly a cigar). However, I quit years ago with it.

    I once had a thought “we are like a lucifer lighter, isn’t it? We smoke, smoke and smoke. Get all burned up and then throw away our lives because of it”.

    At that moment, I told myself; no more. Quit cold-turkey. I never drink alcohol (due to religion).

    Yeah and I have many times. I live in Europe and when I visit my father’s country (an Arabian country), I meet people who are poor. I talk to them normally, have fun with them normally and just chill. Sure we don’t go to the ‘more luxury’ places but that isn’t needed to have fun.

    And I mean, the person was very poor. As in when getting something to drink and you get these plastic cups, he saves them for his home.

    But I can tell you, he’s more fun to be around than the ‘more wealthy’ people. He’s generous as well, willing to give his last bit of tea or food etc.

  • Truly depends on the game.

    Well my main usage for the Deck would be games like; Almost all Switch popular Switch 1 games (except Zelda), Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, Metaphor and Expedition 33 as well as the Ori games.

    But yeah, there are quite a few AAA/higher graphical fidelity games I just won’t bother, even if it’s technically playable at a "smooth’ 30FPS. Like Kingdom Come 2 ran pretty decently on it, surprisingly, but damn did it really make the game look pretty rough.

    I saw videos on YT that Metaphor runs on 30-40FPS in cities, 60FPS in battles and that with emulation it’s a bit hit-or-miss. Someone told me, I’m asking to much of a handheld device but considering that the Deck is €700 which is a kind of a normal budget PC.

    This might be a personal thing but 30FPS is going to bother me to no-end. I'm probably just spoiled with the at least permanent 60FPS and very often 144FPS.

    But, honestly, I still use my Deck a shit ton, especially at work. It’s hands down the best portable emulator machine and there are tons of indie games that run great on it. It also works great as a small laptop in desktop mode. I use it almost daily at work.

    Great to hear! Did not expect the Deck being able to work as a small laptop, hah. Though, my main usage would be gaming at home (for example; in bed, on the couch or outside in the yard). Kind of want a handheld because after 5 days of office work, it's nice to game somewhere else than in front of the PC.

  • I have a PS5. I don't intend to ever buy a console again. That era is dead.

    Similar situation here. Bought the PS5 and probably used it for a year or so and now it’s collect dust. Literally. Kind of regretting getting one. I only game on PC nowadays.

    I was thinking to get a Switch 2 but then all the chaos hit with the emulation takedowns, Nintendo suing Palworld, Prices of Nintendo games, prices of their accessories and the whole game key card stuff. Just to much negativity.

    Still thinking about Steam Deck but it’s 3 years in its life. So not sure whether that’s worth the €700 euro. Have heard it struggles with the current games.

  • So, I looked it up and figured out it was like that previously. They changed their policy now.

    However, if you delete your Instagram account, it will also delete your Threads account because apparently Instagram is directly linked to the Threads account.

    How would they even have that ability?

    So this answer your question; I assume it’s due to the linking of the account (Instagram and Threads account)

  • How’s Threads anyway? Once I heard they don’t allow you to simply delete your account, I noped out of it.

    Not sure if it is true but apparently if you want to delete your account, it’ll also delete your Instagram account?
