  • My last run was over 300 hours... But you are right. I haven't really picked it up again since.

  • I am playing something really old. Dark age of Camelot. Got some IRC friends who got me into this (again) because they were talking about them playing it again on a free server.

This game does MMO so good. This was the peak before WoW changed the market (to worse). The game design in DAoC is genuinely unique. There are almost no instant stuff. No global cooldown. Melee skill speeds are based on the weapon as you apply styles on the swings. Some of the abilities need you to hit from a certain direction and they have follow ups. You have 9(!!) second stuns and 40 seconds mesmerizes (kind of like sleep) so even small groups can kill larger groups in PvP. If you play a caster and get hit in combat, well... there goes your spell to nothing. Spellcasters are strong but once in melee you are pretty much screwed.

You really have to group up to level since regen is so slow and you get xp bonuses from doing this and also able to take down harder mobs giving more xp up to a cap. When pulling, depending on group size the mobs do "baf" (bring a friend). Afaik not many games does this today. It is such an easy thing to bring people together. Make it harder to solo play, give bonuses from teamwork. Make people talk to eachother.

Everything is just... Awesome. Except the slow movement without movement buffs.

  • Nature is amazing.

  • Wish my friends would like to play more games like this. With that said it is best played in short bursts for sure.

  • Please tell my SO. She is always tired 😴

  • I bought some expensive ram back when i bought my current CPU to maximize Factorio and that was about 200 €. Don't even want to know how much it would be today. Also cheaped out and bought 16Gb ram for my home automation server last summer for less than 50€. Regrets hits me now as more would totally be better.

  • We have that function on ours. Still been left open a little bit without beeping.

  • Did a long trip on a train once and did just this. Started the trip late in the day, woke up almost at the destination. Was great!

  • For now...

That hot water stream is dying. Going to be interesting times.

  • One year I made a list of what I want to complete that year. Let's just say that I was a bit ambitious but I was very proud of the games I finished.

This year I am trying to go as long as possible without buying any new games. But I should probably look at making a new list.

  • My guess is that valve sends invites to devs and publishers and if they are interested to join they get to set their own prices. Why would valve even try to control any of that? If I don't remember wrong I have even seen games not even released or getting a cheaper price in the festivals. Sales is probably the same but you need to lower the price a bit.

  • This is what brought me over the edge to switch to Linux. Been over 8 months now. Can dual boot but only booted windows once since.

  • I always bought regular size but then I sent my gf to buy and she took the larger ones. Not that we have sex like ever but when we do, there is a big difference now. Doesn't hurt and I don't get off in 2 seconds 😂

  • I bought these a couple of times and for me it was worth it. Saved about 20%-30% but it depends on what games you used them on.

  • How would you plug it in to the steamdeck?

  • I had the same feeling about it. I just got angry playing it.

  • I do both sides of this at my work, both office and do real work. I keep telling the guys who don't do the office part that they are the ones that should earn the most. Most of them are old and just think they are fine as is sadly. This mentality is sad imo.

  • Ooooh. Have to try this. If it works, windows goes bye bye. I never boot it anyway.

  • If this is the only games you look at, yeah. Looking forward to another year of loads of indie games.
