    Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.

    As someone who is a scientist who studies whales, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls dolphins whales. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

    If you're saying "whale family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Cetacea, which includes things from porpoises to belugas to orcas.

    So your reasoning for calling a dolphin a whale is because random people "call the big ones whales?" Let's get whale sharks and great whites in there, then, too.

    Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A dolphin is a dolphin and a member of the whale family. But that's not what you said. You said a dolphin is a whale, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the whale family whales, which means you'd call vaquitas, bottlenose, and other marine mammals whales, too. Which you said you don't.

    It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

Capitalism is associated with various problems like homelessness, commodified relationships and hobbies, price gouging, poor healthcare, and systemic discrimination. Also over time liberalism leads to fascism as capitalism breaks down, poverty increases, and people become radicalised. A society which permits the accumulation of wealth and the use of wealth to gain wealth, will inevitably form oligopolies, monopolies, oligarchies, and eventually monogarchy. This is anti-democracy and anti-human.

  • Keep in mind that if you base your judgements of left bias and right bias on the American overton window, that window has been highly influenced by fascism over the last 10 years, and now your judgement is based on the normalisation of fascism, which your bot is implicitly accepting. That's bad. If you're going to characterise sources as left or right in any form, you need to pick a point that you personally define as center. And now your judgements are all going to implicitly push people towards that point. You could say that Karl Marx is the center of the political spectrum, or you could say Mussolini is. Both of those statements are equally valid, and they are as valid as what you are doing now. If you don't want to push any set of biases, you need to stop calling sources left and right altogether.

  • TERFism restricts feminism to a tightly defined and controlled ingroup. The criteria for determining who is a real woman, when employed by bigots, will inevitably come to describe the socially dominant form of femininity, which is white femininity. Black and Arab women like Khelif will always fail to pass the standards of white femininity, because they're not white. The standards are racist. And TERFs invariably pick racist standards, because the kind of people who feel the need to police womanhood to appeal to an imagined ideal are people who will end up doing that in more ways than one. And also, TERFs are always hanging out and allying with overly white supremacist groups, because Nazis are the only people who will put up with assholes like Rowling. That's why she's always taking photos with fascists.

  • Yes. Don't raise your kids at the bus stop if you can't play nice with the bus people. That bird had ample time to realise that people are always using the bus stop. Bird should have laid eggs somewhere peaceful. Now bird is being an asshole for no reason as a response to its own bad choices. We should kill off asshole birds like that and let the species evolve smarter and less mean.

    Fun fact: a lot of fairy tales have wolves going after humans with a ferocity you will not see in nature. This is because back when those stories were written, they did. However, humans are vindictive. Man-killer wolves would be hunted down with spears and killed. Over time, wolves evolved to be more cautious of humans and less aggressive. And now our wolf problems are solved.
