  • Some of them only ever were successful in Austria, especially those who were artificially pushed by one of our national radios at the time (Ö3 & FM4). Others were highly successful internationally, but only within their specific genre.

    I'd guess there are a few ones who had airplay in Germany at that time, with Christina Stürmer as the probably most obvious example?

  • Because it is a claim made by one single person 25 years ago, as far as we currently know. The big outlets or at least some of them probably have someone on the ground right now trying to establish whether this claims makes any sense, whether this death actually happened, whether with this specific cause of death etc etc. They know that Trump will sue them if they get even a tiny slither of facts wrong.

    Wero is a private european company (SE) owned by private banks. They made these choices consciously, and even then it's not uniform: some banks integrate Wero into their online banking apps, some banks use the standalone app instead.

    Wero is not a EU project, it's merely "supported" by the Commission and the ECB.
