  • Trump is completely right on this issue. Despite the fact his plane is produced by a company plagued with consistent quality control issues I believe this should be rushed into service as quickly as possible. In fact, I agree that the anyone including temp workers should be allowed in to get this thing in the air today.

  • I've never understood why it's so hard to re-purpose an old android phone as a TV streaming box. I have an old One Plus that would blow the Nvidia Shield out of the water but as far as I can tell nothing exists that make that possible. It has HDMI via the USB C port but no way to add a remote and use the TV interface. The ability to sleep when the TVs CEC signal sends a power off command would also be a requirement for me.

  • LG is one of the worst. Only TVs with ROKU are worse for privacy concerns. ROKU, LG and Samsung make Google look good when it comes to invasion of privacy.

    I've been against the idea of smart TVs from day one. A good panel will easily have a longer life than whatever smart box they shoe horn into TVs now. That's reason enough to avoid that trap.

    Mark my words on this: on top of the privacy invasion Future smart TVs will be designed to slow down to the point of being unusable well before their panels wear out to force upgrades and prevent third party repairs.

  • He's going to pressure rich people to invest in his scam coin using his presidential powerers to actually keep it afloat. Right wingers have consistently railed against politicians who make money while in office. While I completely agree that making decisions that directly or indirectly affect politicians business or other investments is unethical I know the right wing echo chamber will declare this a good thing for America. I already see political commentators and others with a voice using caution out of fear of Trump retaliation. They all but call him dear leader. I won't be surprised if Trump is the richest person in the world by the end of his term. That is, if there is an end.

  • Supposedly they do but I've had surprisingly good luck with used GPUs from ebay. I'm good with warning others against buying used GPUs on ebay though because then costs will stay lower for me.
