  • And dump the pretense for supporting American copyright law.

  • That's not self control. That's just not being a complete asshole in every single way. As someone who worked in a huge hockey city in arenas I can tell you hockey is a blight on this country that will eventually enable us to be become just like 'murica. We've already adopted the sport celebrity culture fully and people will literally fight you over hockey.

I've had people punch me and spit on me, I've had to call the cops numerous times over threats of physical violence against me or someone else, had my life and vehicle threatened with damage, I've had a player jump over the boards and try fight me because I asked him to leave the ice surface after his allotted time was up. I had a guy even try pull me off the ice resurfacer because he was pissed he couldn't skate longer.

They're fucking worse than Neanderthals and they are taught that every day, year round from the time they can strap blades on their feet and praised for it. They call it "the Canadian game". We give them millions of dollars to.play a fucking kids game and never ever ask them to grow up. I've seen junior players who's dad's still tie their fucking skates.

  • Plastic people. perfect for one another.

  • How many indigenous people were polled?

  • Excellent point. There are so many critical errors in how our society operates. It gets overwhelming sometimes with how far necessary reform reaches into things we all take for granted.

  • It is and it should stop. I'm honestly almost to the point of leaving so much interneting behind so I can regain my skills at old school communication and information gathering. It must be so hard to do that now. It used to be so normal.

I already have bonked all traditional social media including for my small business for reasons like this. I went back to posters and flyers and only promoting online solely in spaces like the fed. It's been hard but worthwhile I feel and after only about a year I am again getting more traffic. It's just a small income source but it's been an interesting foray into change.

  • Shit don't suggest organizing. That's insanity.

  • How about I just don't use you tube? I should be ok.

  • Chow Chow is our traditional go to for green tomatoes. I'm really into green curry chow chow right now. Salsa Verde is also awesome as is roasted green tomato sauce.

I'm not understanding what self depreciation has to do with green tomatoes however. You should be nicer to yourself.

  • It's wedge issues like this that cause enough distraction to allow increased surveillance and authoritarianism of the general public. That's the police biz.

  • It would also be a massive hit to BCTS. The BC government agency that controls softwood harvesting and in turn provides income to the provincial government. Softwood and processing machinery being one of the major exports in BC that funds the government for decades now.

Probably has something to do with no reform.

  • We have things growing we shouldn't be able to grow and they produce. A lot. We've seen massive changes in weather over the past decade. Now we grow figs, Almonds, peaches and cherries. In Cape Breton. Traditionally we were a root veggie kinda place when it came to growing food.

We've increased by almost two full growing zones in that time. When we moved back we built a greenhouse to extend our seasons. Mid summer it's too hot now and we need to cool it. Many winters we could grow our winter crops outdoors now.

  • We make our own and live by the ocean. Our fertilizer barrel smells worse than what I imagine a barrel of sussy monkey ass smells like. It's got fish guts and seaweed, effective microorganisms and lactic acid bacteria. It's gross but it works so good.

  • They eliminated speed traps in Calgary Alberta fairly recently. The police service is in economic distress because of it. Loss of revenue per year 28 million.

I'm all for reducing speeds but these cameras are well known to be used to fund police departments with massive swat teams, public policing issues, military assault vehicles, automatic weapons and now things like facial recognition software and interception of communications. Is this really what we want as citizens, to become more authoritarian and funded by money grabs until we have a dictator like those to the south of us?

  • No OP but we are a family of five. We grow a lot of our own and preserve it. We grow around 400 tomato plants a year. Cherry tomatoes and san Marzano paste as well as some favorite hierlooms. We make all our own pasta sauce, tomato paste, salsa, bruschetta, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, pizza sauce, ketchup, sun dried tomatoes and whatever else I am forgetting. We use all our tomatoes in a year. Which is easily several hundred pounds.

  • Our oceans are in trouble and so are we.

Makes great fertilizer though. Might as well use it for something good. Get composting. Free nutrients for Spanish farmers.

  • We have a lot of them where I live now. They keep them single lane in most places. This is good. There is one major 4 lane and it's a nightmare most days. Been in place for over 50 years and most still don't understand it.

I still think they're great and effective as well.

  • I hear ya. We have a 1/4 acre of gardens. We have stuff pop up all over the place.

  • Acorn squash. Seeds will survive compost a lot.
