Is there some agit prop or something I can do in my Christian community to snap people out of it? It really seems to me that Christianity itself is a huge part of the problem since it is so easy to be twisted by bigots to justify anything they want. And frankly most of these churches are tax scams and not actually useful for the community. I consider Christianity the largest cult in existence and the most "normalized" one because of its size and influence.

I want to do everything in my power to eliminate the Republicans. That group is responsible for so much pain in my life. They are a cancer on our society and they're never going to be on our side.

The problem I have with this right now is there are some truly repugnant people running for office. Like people that are doing awful things to our trans friends. I'm not saying that Democrats are even good on this issue, but it feels like a betrayal to not participate in trying to get rid of these bigots.

There's this problem with politicians where they believe they have to "represent" or hear out everyone of their constituents. NO, you don't! In fact, one of the first lessons you need to learn as an elected official is who to ignore, who to tell to fuck off, and who to actually listen to (the people who voted for you).

Republicans understand this. Not sure why even the Mamdanis of the world can't figure this out.

It is impossible to please the haters. The best thing you can do is hold your values and positions and build a fanatical core of supporters. God imagine a Trump for the left!

What good is majority rule if the majority is like this? Seriously why should I "accept" that a majority of people who vote want me to have less freedom? And that's ok because we call it "democracy"?

There are major barriers to running a campaign that blue-collar workers are not going to overcome as easily. It's almost like this entire political system favors people with capital 🤔
