Seriously! He could be on his way to literally anywhere in the world to do literally anything he can think of
well, except make a genuine human connection. that's something a lot of people in that income bracket struggle with, and might partially explain why his current aesthetic is depressed assistant manager.
I've only read the novels and partially watched the series, but imagining it as sort of an 'anti-trek' is pretty accurate. It's a rather depressing view of our immediate future. The setting is very interesting and I overall like the novels, but it's fair to say it's not for everyone.
And since it's the 'grad I should mention that you get an overwhelming sense of libness from the authors. A huge plot point is the exploitation of a new underclass that turn into irreverent terrorists who commit the worst crime imaginable. They're not vindicated in any way by the end and aren't even the 'primary' antagonists of the plot. In fact the crushingly cruel conditions of this new underclass aren't even ever resolved. The universe just moves on without them. If stuff like that bothers you, consider it a fair warning.
Feel for you brother. Gotta stop on that synthetic cannabis crap. Even just normal weed is better for you than that nightmare mix. At least you're yolked though. No matter what happens or where you are, you'll always have comrades to shitpost with.
in my experience clothes are a little hit or miss, they vary from generally pretty good to good for the (extremely cheap) price. Even with the misses though they are like a 6 pack of underwear having the pattern be printed a little wonky but they cost me ~1.5 usd equivalent for the lot
Temu is king for clothes imo, even though they'll wear out quickly, their affordability makes just filling your closet with Temu crap more sustainable than shopping locally. That being said, Temu clothes have the funniest fuckin' prints I've ever seen. Below is a list of some of the nonsense phrases I've had printed on Temu clothes I've ordered:
I am filled with an intense urge to steal when I see these cases. I don't even know how I'd get said product out of the security cases, but I imagine having some sort of rag-tag team of go-getters that help me steal.
America would probably launch a land invasion of Australia before they ever let Pine Gap go. Previous attempts were met with harsh penalties from the US.
My partner buys stuff from there all the time and while I'd really rather she didn't, we use most of the stuff that comes in. Occasionally the build quality will be so cheap the item falls apart pretty quickly, but you know what you're getting with Temu so I guess roll the dice.
This is a really powerful point to make. It's a total crapshoot if you end up 'doing it right' and raising family orientated children. Even if you do 'get it right,' things like life and personal autonomy means anything could happen and they move out one day and you never see them again.
Raising kids as an insurance policy against loneliness isn't the right approach, I think.
Not having children could give you enough room in your life to forge great and powerful connections, and grow a large family of loved ones that will all be around as you begin to age. Not all families are blood families, after all. Children are an incredibly energy and time sink - if you choose not to have them, make the most of the time you're saving.
That being said, children make you better, or at least give you the chance to be better. For all the self-doubt I carried around, fatherhood burned it out of me. There is no stronger motivator, I believe, than having a life depend on your own.
I mean, the Adobe website flashed me pop-ups about not being in the right location, about cookies - I would choose GIMP based on this.
I choose FOSS 90% of the time because they are not beholden to the same conventions that compel most for-profit products. A lot of the concerns I'm reading about readability, marketability, etc ring absolutely true for life-or-death for-profit ventures, but there are definitely people who don't mind missing all of that stuff in exchange for good and decent software.
The goal, after all, is to be image editing software, not an advertisement.
Trump is seriously blurring the line between himself and Lex Luthor more and more by the day. Trump was always a very whacky character, but threats to steal like, Canada, or the real estate of Greenland just really completes the picture.
I'm so glad Australia has been such a good vassal ally to the states, because the states sure do pay it back. I mean, they wouldn't set up military bases on our land unless they really loved us.
