  • Apple doesn't need submarine cables for now because it doesn't require a large amount of data, unlike Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and internet providers, who do.

    If they do decide to install a submarine cable, whether they own it or co-own it, it will be because of the amount of data they need and want a cable that prioritizes them.
