  • Someone secretly took a photo of someone else because they didn't like the shirt and sent it to so many people not realizing they all liked the person and immediately told them. He had HR involved within minutes and she was fired. All of that happened in about 20 minutes of the photo being taken. There is a strict policy on photos of other people at work that has its own training we all do annually.

For those wondering about the shirt

  • My tv and eating habits since 2020 have only been getting better by these changes. Once every streaming service no longer allows password sharing we will be done with TV. So many of their platforms are incredibly awful to navigate anyways.

  • Meanwhile all the schools in my area are polling places so kids don't have school.

  • A lot of people surprisingly don't know the game but I'd love to see Arc the lad: twilight spirits remade. I really enjoyed the story and the style of the game it would need a bit of graphics overhaul

  • This isn't something new or unique. Up until 2015ish whenever people referenced 10 years ago people would think it was referring to the 90's. It's a perception of time thing. Eventually the same will happen when we are out of the 20's they'll think 2020 was eons ago.

  • It's works most of them time unless you're in a specialty trade making spindle, gears, and such that must be threaded backwards to avoid the wheel undoing itself.

  • Is bagging your own stuff really that much more work? The sacrifice is waiting in line for them to fuck up bagging it anyways. It's significantly faster to use self and get home sooner to relax. If you're over filling a cart I'm sure it makes sense to go to an actually cashier but outside of that it's just wasting time

  • Fuck prime and the paul brothers but you can't dismiss people/companies providing aid. By providing aid like this it frees up other resources for others to use. The professionals relay on any aid that they can get so long as it isn't going to hurt anyone. Someone allergic to something will know what they can/can't have.

Again fuck prime and it's a shit resource but when you're desperate you'll take what you can to stay alive.

  • Firefox isn't far behind now. They just announced ads are coming and they know their platform is used heavily with ad blocking extensions so they'll cut it

  • The only ones who will embrace it are the advertisers....

  • The hardest part to combat is laziness. Amazon is a one stop shop. Personally I don't care to shop online much anymore but when I do I'm always using direct websites for the companies since I know what I'm looking for.

Also something scary to think about, They could lose most of their customers and still thrive because of how much money they have already pulled in.

  • Here's a really horrifying fact about ads, they don't expect you to go right out and buy their product. Ads target your subconscious and manipulate your way of thinking. There was a study done by some university and tested by a few people across different fields of study that proved this to be correct. I wish I could remember off the top of my head where this was published. If you do a little browsing you can probably find it and you should because you can't trust a stranger like me to properly relay the information.

  • No you're not. You're allowed to hope for something and be let down it's on them to do better especially since they can and have the resources to do so but choose not to.

  • Best buy is coming to join them

  • I just got accepted into the beta for walkscapes. It's such a relaxing game and using steps vs distance is super nice to have as a tracking system.

  • As someone who does a lot of DIY what are my options? I can't learn from reading and have nobody to show me how in person. Other platforms are so incredibly limited I can't ever find any content helping me learn something. What other platform is seeking to ACTUALLY compete with YouTube by offering fair compensation and exposure to the masses? It's so incredibly expensive to try that nobody is.

  • The issue is with the information. Like the one above us said they want to be notified that their ride has arrived but to allow that notification you have be willing to accept advertisements as well.

It's the reason a majority of people just straight up kill notifications. Way to many useless ones to justify the 1 in 8 that you want.

  • Everyone who is doing it is also fielding immense amounts of complaints from everyone forced to use it, but I guess we ignore those pesky details.

  • You're misunderstanding those numbers. The current older generation is boomers which got their name from the baby boom. People don't have kids like that anymore so everyone including retail stores will see drops in body count. If anything will kill them off its going to be their pricing. It is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper to go with nearly any other brand.
