  • nah im almost 40 and still retain a deep hatred for old people. 20 year olds are so fucked now for many reasons. I'm worried their educations are shit because they just ask the robot for answers and can't use basic problem solving, but maybe that's more an alpha problem. If they had the same opportunities my grandparents had(graduate high school, immediately get good paying job with pension) then there'd be some basis for thinking theyre lazy.

  • now just mentioning a bbq restaurant requires a cw? yeesh. cw: MCDONALDS

  • theyre about to, cause apparently other countries don't have history books or the internet to figure out how ratfucked theyre gonna get. ukraine fucked themselves and venezuela will too. Used and abused with promises dangled like a carrot, but theyll never eat the carrot.

  • That is my life goal, to build these oases where people opposed to the abuses of capitalism can live a life outside of it,

yea i used to have that dream too, but property and land prices is it feasible for me? probably not. sure if i had a bunch of people to go in on it with me, but will i find those people? I even did my final college paper on utopian socialism in America. Unfortunately those projects never lasted. The longest lasting was maybe the Shakers, but they died out because their kids didnt want to live that way. Intentional communities have existed where they tried to not have money as a concept, but that's tough to do when you're surrounded by a society using money.

  • can i be pwesident pwetty pwease?

  • there is no ethical consumption

  • he can't actually build a rocket or a truck, he just made some crayon drawings and paid people to make those drawings real

  • We’re never seeing that money anyway, retirement age will be 90 by the time millenials or younger are 65 lol.

if that happens i got other plans. not great ones, mostly revenge fantasies.

  • lol holy shit, the InfoSec people at my employer are more competent

  • ill add another layer, i work for a finance related company. I'm not in the finance department or anything, i'm in IT. But still, i live in a world of contradictions. Add to the fact that this is my best paying job in my life, and has the best benefits i've ever had. i dont think i could find anything better, esp now.

  • it's already invested in a bunch of vanguard stuff by default.

  • index funds are the only thing worth investing in, unless you feel like micromanaging this shit, and i certainly don't

  • To me, it doesn’t exist in reality. It’s some fake money promise that I will never see.

for real, plus if the economy takes a total shit it can be halved or worse. it's very cool.

  • at the minimum every outlet you see will have a hot and neutral. i only see two wires and a ground(the exposed copper wire), so the two wires would be a hot and a neutral. Newer wiring can have a 2nd hot. https://inspectapedia.com/electric/0588s.jpg

I had knob and tube in my house and its literally just a hot and neutral no ground. Yours is at least modern enough with the ground wire that's in the sheath. Some ground wires are connected to the metal outlet box, but that only works if that box is also grounded.

im no electrician, i did replace all my 3 prong outlets that didnt have a ground with GFCI outlets(makes it slightly safer). Just make sure to turn off the breakers. I just watched youtube videos and asked questions on the askelectricians reddit. yea, reddit is still useful.

the back of the outlet should say where the hot and neutral goes

  • it's truly depressing. my step-grandpa who died at age 93 like 13 years ago had pension. i was like WELL THAT WOULD BE NICE. he did not die in poverty.

  • for how much he paid for several gatorades he could have probably bought like 12. are 9 out of 12 gatorades going to get stolen?

  • add to the fact that you're letting some random contractor stranger bring your food. like ive ordered pizza delivery(not for years but thats the only restaurant run delivery in my area), but that person works for the pizza place at least. Why the fuck would i trust someone to not drink my stuff or steal some food with their filthy? plus it will show up cold cause its unlikely they are using an insulated bag to keep it hot.

  • guess i have to wear my juggalo makeup

  • extra holes the size of a grape fruit
