  • oh man talking to liberals about how brutal economic sanctions are in cuba or north korea is a test of patience for the sturdiest mfers around

they are simultaneously not effective and do nothing to harm the average person and also extremely effective and must never be lifted

oh, and any vietnamese person who talks about how their country changed after the sanctions were lifted in the 90s is actually a putin bot or something

  • im awweady someone elses pwincess but good luck king

  • for clarification its "for sale, baby shoes, never worn" as an example of a 6 word story that says a ton

  • the main problem is if you have a good computer (ie the average , run of the mill gaming rig these days) you can run a model that will the "ai assistant" role about 90% as good as the best paid saas models for free on the computer you already have with the addition that your local model is abliterated (jailbroken) to talk about restricted shit. all you need is like 32gb of ram and 8gb of vram minimum which the average pc gamer is running these days.

if you are a developer and have 64gb of ram and 16+ of vram then you can run a claude-level local ai as well. ive not fucked with image or video generation but those models are available as well

if anyone needs a tutorial for the technically uninclined i can write one up because thats the only barrier is that its all in techbro and dev-speak

  • Haha, yeah. I wasn't even being "online pessimistic" about that. I mean it as a literal matter-of-fact. I grew up Catholic and that's how we were taught the story with maybe only slightly more insight but not really.

Which is sad, because a lot of bible stories are pretty boring but Job is one that is kind of immensely interesting from the implications of it. God is perpetuating the evil upon Job, not Lucifer. If anything, Lucifer seems to have control of the situation.

  • the pope is said to be "in shambles"

  • love how 3 justices were like "yeah these things are illegal but it would be really hard to undo them so we should just keep doing the illegal shit"

real cool of the branch of government that ultimately decides the legality of shit to just admit they ignore the legality of shit when making their decisions

  • Being dismissive of Cubans who live in Cuba and support their government is extremely patronizing and chauvinistic. I wish these people could grasp that.

  • Oh, so the ICE supporters aren't paid? I guess their support is literally worthless. Another victory in the marketplace of ideas.

  • There no deep philosophical framework in the American Civic Religion, which these people actually follow. They read the story of Job and think, "Wasn't Job good, he believed despite all those things that happened to him," and that's it. There's nothing more to it.

  • the whole thing has me in stitches because sure its against the rules but a tiny poke on that heavy stone cant be changing the results of the initial push all that much

however i support the petty drama surrounding it

  • For someone who claims you aren't the target of my comments you sure have seemed to take them quite personally. A bit of a contradiction there.

Also, I don't think I've been aggro at all. You were quite literally repeating the kind of shit I hear from Argo. I didn't even lay into you for the asinine observation about muzzle discipline.

  • I'm not anti-gun or advocating against guns. Gun culture dudes really can't take an ounce of criticism.

  • I'm not anti-gun. I just like criticizing gun-culture which I find the most juvenile and cringe subculture even beating out weed culture. I've owned guns in the past and will again in the future. Doesn't change ARGO out here killing himself or his family through accidental discharges and whatnot.

  • Thorium salt reactors are going to be HUGE and China basically corners the market on the tech and the thorium.

  • You sound like Argo. Argo always says these things and when you talk to the people who knew Argo they'll tell you how Argo never seemed to be unsafe with a weapon.

  • My wife and I have name for people like this: Argo. (Another Responsible Gun Owner). Argo always thinks they are right. Argo will defend the second amendment. Argo definitely checked the chamber and the gun is totally not loaded. Argo has accidents sometimes.

  • ni howdy pardner. just out here hanging with a couple of feng-le cowboys. chi-le ma?

  • I spend a ton of time in in regular LGBTQIA spaces online especially in gaming communities because those are the only places that are chill. The furry crowd are definitely the most hypersexual bunch in the online space, that's for sure. I wouldn't say it's offputting, though, because to me an anthropomorphic sex fantasy is about as tame as it gets insofar as kinks go. They are just really forward with it, though, the moment they feel like they are in a space that allows them to be so even if it pushes boundaries of good taste in that space.

  • used to be an app called guilded that was more feature rich but it died
