You know how tigers have patterns on the back of their head and ears to appear bigger than they are?I think these people might have brought back whatever hunted tigers.
Does it matter? Anyone will draw whatever conclusion they want from written words.Any post made represents a train of thought created in that moment, for that moment.
We like to overanalyze stuff and inferr suppositions, create entire lifetimes based on fragments of text. But more often than not, there is no hidden meaning, no greater link to map out. Though it's fun to imagine there is.
The online medium is fantasy. A separate dimension from reality. A glimpse into past moments that most of us rarely even think of while out there actually living. Shitposts, trolls, memes, bots, insights into the human psyche and so on, all mushed up together where you can't even tell the true from the false.A simple truth is that everyone online is a lie. Whether spurred by anonymity or cowed by social expectations, the online persona is a default mask we craft for ourselves, perhaps even unknowingly.
Some say it's who they truly are, free or the debts and responsibilities of real life. But it's not completely true. Hiding this inner self is part of who we are, though we like to reject it. These posts, these thoughts are pieces of what we need to express, a lashing out at the norms that bound us we do not agree with. Yet they do not represent us, not fully.Just as in a sudden moment of pain, we express the emotion through a verbal release of vulgarities, so too are these written declarations the release of that painful constriction society holds over our words and deeds.
Well, it might not be climate change. Plenty of volcanoes underwater and there has been an increase in newsworthy activity. (Needs someone who knows to confirm or deny actual increase in volcanic activity.)
Hearsay and gossip on my part. Haven't been banned on world yet that i can remember, so I have no personal details to give. But if you have time to waste, scroll through the mod log where available and feel free to agree or disagree with the actions taken.
Having been here and there and back again, every instance has its zealous moderation depending on the topic..world being large, the staff don't have time to care about individual cases and are focused more on removing the conflict. It's less about correctness and more about keeping the peace.
Cassandra’s letter of cancellation, issued by the Department of Home Affairs, states: “As part of the visa application process, you were required to meet section 600.211 which states the visa applicant genuinely intends to stay temporarily in Australia.
“The delegate considered the situation in your home country, including the current conflict, the internal displacement of persons and the difficult circumstances facing ordinary citizens there.
“The delegate considered you never intended a genuine stay temporarily in Australia and therefore the visa was granted based on circumstances that never existed.”
A spokesman for Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil said the government could not comment on individual cases.
“The Australian government recognises that this is an incredibly distressing time for Australians with extended family members in Gaza,” the spokesman said. “All visa applicants undergo security checks and are subject to ongoing security assessments. The Australian government reserves the right to cancel any issued visas if circumstances change.”
Basically the gov don't want them to ask for asylum due to the state of war, which they pretty much have to grant.
Maybe. In part it depends on Google. I reported a case on safebrowsing. What they did with that and how many such reports were made remains anyone's guess.
