I wonder why in the scene where Atou asked Takuto whether she was too harsh he switched to his ominous form for a second. Could this be the same as Ainz from Overlord? Being evil being makes you lose compassion?
I thinkaybe but not quite. Ainz was a bit self aware about it. He questioned himself over killing humans.
Takuto just didn't care. He started his nation and wanted to build a peaceful city. These "good guys" came to attack/kill/expose them. Atou tried a peaceful route. But the "good guys" still ended up invading the "peaceful elves" so they left Atou no choice.
They were enemies. Enemies just need to be crushed. Takuto saw the entire thing through his RTS Atou view (the red eyes) so he saw how devoted they were to thier mission regardless of harming the innocent and persecuted dark elves.
This is also from the same nation that hunted down neutral dark elves because of thier potential threat.
Only reason I figure none of these fascists has been gunned down yet is that they're mainly operating where gun laws are restrictive.
100% this. Most of the news stories are from states where you're much less likely to run into a armed civilian. Even a bystander might step up when masked men in plain clothes and shades grab someone and they're screaming.
ICE should have a standard easily identifiable uniform. This isn't an undercover operation. Hell you can meet it halfway and have a plain clothes initiator with the rest in uniform.
ICE is picking up illegals and "doing their job" but the lack of professionalism, transparency, ethics and morals is the serious problem here.

Because its annoying and im lazy about it. I have to take the fan down and mess with our janky blinds. It's a second story window and we have no kids or pets.
Why do I need to lock it? For kids we're never going to have? Kids of my guests I'm never going to let into my locked office behind my monitors? For the possible robber that's going to break in via a second story window in the back of our home that needs a ladder to get to when there are several easier access points?
Sometimes I don't lock it. I often do. But she makes me double check my office window before sleep or leaving. That's time wasted on sheer paranoia. I'd rather take those odds over wasting 5 minutes several times a week.
