  • Is there a way to visit for a couple of days (Not for Bezos' wedding lmao) wirhout being a nuisance and supporting local business/people as much as possible or is it better to just stay away? We dream of flying there, seeing the cities and then going to the Dolomites.

  • How dare they inconvenience Lord Bezos though? Have they never used Amazon or dreamt about his rocket, huh? They should be grateful and hand over the city to him

  • You must understand this is the zeitgeist. The entirety of the Middle East are victims, including mullahs, Taliban, autocrats and sheikhs. Crazy how people can't at least view it from two sides or in grey tones.

I won't disagree that the Western-led world order has created instability in the region and worldview, but I sincerely doubt that an Islamic world order would be in any way better. Most are just jealous that they don't get to do the exploitation

  • Thank you! Hope my German is still good enough to read it

  • Do you have a link for the vw cars? Can't seem to find anything concrete

  • My main issue in discussions on religion is that either side generally claims that either "it makes us civil", as you say, or that "it's the cause of evil". In reality it's neither. Religion has traditionally been (still is, I'm afraid) a powerful form of crowd control that in past times has steered some believers into doing better deeds by the duality of the hell-heaven system, and likewise has twisted others into extremism and using religion as justification for evil acts. Most of the time it's just a simple way of life that rids you of the need to question the universe and to carve your own path. As a "Muslim" I sometimes, in some ways, envy those that simply view the etiquettes, laws, and traditions that govern their lives as unquestionable truths. There's no need to search for purpose, you're already born with it.

Humans are flawed and evil. That is true with or withour religion.

    Sorry for rambling.

  • Didn't he say something about loving "Mexicans" (in reference to all Latin Americans) because you can "pay them so little"?

  • Realistically let's start with actual control over Gaza and the West Bank and access to, you know, stuff like food, water, medicine, education, and other things considered "human rights" when it's related to the right people. Abolishing illegal settlements would be welcomed as well.

Israel should've never existed but it does and it will continue to do so.

  • Hitler also loved Germans! Surely a guy who loves ~70 million people can't be all bad, right?

  • Just because you have anecdotal evidence of the contrary doesn't mean it can't be true, quantitatively. I, too, am a childless man - although I do have a wife - and don't resonate with this, but that doesn't mean I'll just cast aside the findings. Many, especially young, men are unhappy in their everyday, partly due to a lack of sense od community in the "modern" world.

  • The Randstad has over 8 million people that can all stand in Hague within ~1 hour or so. On top of that it's organised by four major organisations that has mobilised people even outside of the Netherlands. I see no reason to doubt this.

    Lovely to see.

  • Fair enough. I may be a jerk sometimes or have edgy takes, but I'm consistent in my contempt for repressive regimes and authorities.

  • Then why would I be sad if he was hit?

  • And it doesn't hit regular people to a significant degree? That'd be great actually. Could they potentially hit some oligarchs and far-right morons as well?

  • Don't know if Starmer's been directly terrible enough yet that I have such a negative view on him to directly smile, but I won't shed a tear for any warmongerer.

  • I'm a bit too angry, I agree with you, especially with the clear escalations in Israhelli attacks now. I don't want any Iranians to die due to Bibi and his fascists. I'll reconsider by rhetoric in the future and just wish for Khamenei and Bibi to get sudden heart malfunctions.

  • I don't even know my family because we can't travel to the country 😀 so you tell me how unjustified my hatred for this regime is. I don't want any civilian Iranians - and especially my family - to die from Israhelli bombs, but doesn't change the fact I'm gonna smile if Khamenei catches one, replaced by another moron or not.

  • Of course I do? My only statement is that I wouldn't be sad if a rocket happened to hit Khamenei. Never gonna shed a tear for a tyrant, even if it was my other enemy that caused his downfall.

  • For me it's about being realistic. Iran is never gonna defeat Israel as long as the Americans support them. You're right that Iran will never flourish because the powers won't ever allow it - Israel, USA, Western Europe, Saudi Arabia, sometimes Turkey.. puppet or not, I'm not gonna support the devil I know just because I can't know what happens in the time after.
