Would be interesting if they mastered thier emotions in the opposite direction where they choose what to feel like being able go from meditative calm to adrenaline pumping rage to full fear of life flight when needed
If I ever get into making youtube videos one thing I'd want to do the moment I get contacted by some stupid company like factor is make my own little ad where I put a little ipecac on the food and repeat the companies name while I vomit up everything from that week, see if that would get them to leave me alone
I did have idea for a high ranking demon lord or whatever that sees overcoming his nature as a way of becoming more powerful in that to be able to act and think truly selflessly would be alien enough to his peers that it could give him an advantage so he's taken on the form of a traveling hero but has laspes into cruelty and his true power level if he gets too annoyed by his foes
I'm fine with orcs and what not being normal for the most part but I think creatures like demons should be as close to naturally evil as possible maybe just no evolved empathy
It would be the same for uploading yourself too could you imagine a real company allowing ai that have all the nasty small things normal people have, like the personal reasons that would drive you to blow up a building or even just take a swing at someone, and even if they messed with nothing how long and how many shareholders would it take to change a copy that in theory could last forever
