'The more I see of what you call civilisation, the more highly I think of what you call savagery.'

  • Feels like there’s an increasingly strong idea that racism is ok as long as it’s targeting at undesirable people, as if that’s a new concept and isn’t how racism has always been justified.

To racist it's always justified and their target deserves it. It has never been any other way. Same with any other kinda hate and dismissal. They will always deserve it. I do a shit take, anybody who thinks it shit think I deserve the hate and ridicule. The difference is just that black man can't stop being black, but an idiot can recant their words. The logic behind them is always the same.Aren't there also fanatical kamala supporters that unironically think that Kamala was the only way and anybody who thinks otherwise at least deserves to be called an idiot or maybe even deported or other things done to them. That is what it does when one falls into the idea that their deeply held subjective worldview is actually the objective truth, especially things that are fundamentally passionate and subjective like politics. From there it's not a very long leap to think that if you are objectively right then everybody else is just wrong and they are either ignoramuses who are unwilling to be thought nor can be reasoned with, or they know the truth but are full of some malice and act against the truth anyway because of some selfish or dark reason. Both cases will logically lead into escalating violence against those who you disagree with, once you have crossed that bridge form subjectivity to objectivity. Even in things like democrats becoming the thing that many blamed the republicans were when they start to feel pressured.

  • Not discounting it that her gender had something to do with the result, but come on. As if she wasn't also a genocide supporter, a political insider, held a high position in a government that oversaw a period with economic hardship for many people. Also she had an charisma of a house plant, likability of a piece of two by four and ran on a campaign that's main message was "I'm not the the other guy". But yes her being a black woman and people being misogynistic and racist was the main issue.

Not that I care, but nothing gets fixed if people hold these ridiculous analyses of why she lost. It will be the same mistakes done after every four years.

  • "Never again" was just never again directed towards jews. With others it's just kindah, meh. If people calling themselves Jews are doing it, then it's it's to be supported.

  • A human might not be, at least not a very simple one. Humans as a group however are.

  • I'm not an American, nor is this video an argument about any policy or voting or not voting. It's about mathematics of elections.

  • If the government is in control of anything, capitalists will claim authoritarianism.

It's more like international capital wants unfetter access to resources and labour power in China. A country doing economic or resource nationalism is the problem, not the government doing stuff. All western governments are heavily interventionists in their economies, but they do it mainly for the capitalists and especially the international capitalists, what they do for the people is for keeping social stability so that they may keep their position.

  • Not very freedomy or very cash money democracy of them 😠

  • The funny thing is that this would be happening if US had resisted the urge to weaponize the dollar and swift. Both were functionally good enough and enable global trade like never before. but now US is increasingly sanctioning like half the world and both of those have suddenly become a burden for the world economy and a risk to be diversified away for countries, who fear they might for one reason or another get on some American officials list. What is US going to do to fight , probably more sanctions and more "funding of democractic oppositions and freedomfighters". That will only make the case and urgency for this to go forward for many countries.

  • They are just trying to prevent the war settling itself as long as Biden is still in office and especially before the elections. After that it was not their fault. They all know it's not going to end well.

  • There are 10k, 3k, 8k north koreans

They are fighting in Ukraine, no they are fighting in Kursk, no they are just in Russia, They are still in north korea, They are in Russia but moving towards Kursk

And zero evidence, every time, beside some obscure videos of Asian looking men taken out of context. They just really don't want to discuss about what is going on the frontlines, like with Selydove. Especially when there is an US election going. What a stupid red herring.

  • What pisses me off the most about NAFOids is the absolute and constant pettiness.

  • Are they legally bound to follow any sanction list in their dealings? If so Linux foundation should consider move out of the US jurisdiction, because the santion load is just going to increase and more countries will be included.

If they are just doing this because of a political fad and partaking "the current thing" then they are just voluntarily digging their own and the linux foundation's grave.

  • That's one way to kill off the remaining American foundry business, since if US can't compete now and Korean and Chinese workers are as good, then there is no reason to shift production off in the long term.

  • Wasn't there that Gazan hospital that they occupied and destroyed and claimed it was legitimate target, because they found box cutters and binoculars? Tools that were totally used by Hamas soldiers hiding under the Hospital..

  • What the hell is an ActivityPub platform?

  • "The Aristocrats!"

  • nice, that'll tech them.

  • They won't do shit. It's election year. Israel might, but US is not willing to follow.

  • Now playable: Flatout 3

Aww yiss, I have been waiting for this. It's finally playable first time since relase.

  • I really do wonder why they ended up in this. It can' be that hard to make even a hacky DIY system to do it automatically. The navigation system just had to have some digital or even analog output, then it would be just the problem of interpreting the signal with some script and writing it into a file.

When Wilby recommended the company use standard software to process ping data and plot the sub’s telemetry automatically, the response was that the company wanted to develop an in-house system, but didn’t have enough time.
