  • Wouldn’t it be “get beaten by a whip”?

  • Sometimes moderation is ridiculous. More “zealous” moderation teams just strike everyone relentlessly. Usually the kind of people that make boomers label every young people as snowflakes

Back when I was on Reddit, on the LTT subreddit, I started reading rumours that formerly known as Anthony (I am here meming with the whole X ordeal), had transitioned into Emily, and I checked the website sorta confused. I thought it was just a mistake or a joke until I saw it actually confirmed. So I did that whole party meme with me at the corner not realising that he had transitioned into she, and everyone else already having congratulated her. This got me banned.

  • Remember kids, moron is a genderless word that can be applied to anyone!

  • Well, I’ve been using it as my daily driver for the past year and it has been fun. I’ve watched support gradually increase for the hardware, with it now having support for speakers webcam and Vulcan!

It runs great (am on KDE) although of late I’ve been having some graphical glitches on flatlpacks.

Also of note, the battery life is worse (a “mere” 10 hours on a 13” M1 MacBook Pro) but still perfectly acceptable (depending on your use case)

  • -Trump was the closest man to be able to get peace in the Middle East (Abraham accords)

-Trump was right in being tougher on China

-Trump managed to get the vaccine done quickly

-Trump tried to convince everyone covid was a hoax, and the vaccine getting done so fast was a miracle

    • he buddied up to basically every single autocracy, and probably received a ton of bribes via stays at his hotels

-He’s a lying cheating bastard whose idiocy culminated on January 6th

  • While PSU doesn’t matter for Linux compatibility, please, please buy a good one from a reputed brand. If you’re going high end, get at least an 80 plus gold PSU

  • They spent 16 billion dollars in R&D in 2023, which is a bit lower than the 17 billion in 2022, but still way higher than the 13 billion from 2019. In 2023 they distributed as dividends (might be wrong on the calculation here, but I think that this is the right number, 1 billion dollars)

  • 2016 election night again. Kamala has more votes, loses electoral college

  • Windows, M’Fedora, PopOS and NixOS rn

  • Piped has been having problems with it lately. Pretty sure it’s YouTube cracking down on FOSS alternative APIs

  • I loved this debate simply cause both candidates looked hilarious. Vance had a cartoonish smile and looked sort of sideways towards the camera like a cartoon breaking the 4th wall. Waltz looked like the just got surprised or was on some stimulant given how wide open his eyes were

  • Some of these are fairly funny, like A-like that iPhones would somehow be allowed in China if they had an explosive inside, B- that someone wouldn’t have found an exploit and exploded them all by now

  • I mean, the IMF could simply recommend peace as an economic fix

  • Wait. Isn’t 95% agreement statistically unlikely in basically any election?

  • WebKit, isnt it though?
