That doesn't make sense. If that was the only reason, it would be easier and safer to just get people to take their liquid, in its container, out of the bag at scanning time
Has anyone really tested what happens if you get bit by a mummy though? I feel like they always just do magic and outright kill people.
Maybe they DO turn you into a mummy
I haven't read the book but in the video he reads excerpts from it and it sounds painful.
He could just be picking a couple of cases that are paticularly egregious, but still, if it's emblomatic of the books prose, then it sounds like it's very similar to the movie and not something I'd enjoy.
So said and done, if you enjoyed it, that's dope, same for the movie. I don't care how "bad" or "good" some form of media is claimed to be, as long as people enjoy it, that's a good thing
I think it's a case of them thinking what the title says, but knowing it makes them look shitty, so trying to couch it in a way that makes it open to interpretation, or at the very least gives them plausible deniability.
Like a lot of right wing commentators/popular people. Talk bullshit around the point everyone knows you're making, so when people call you out on it you can go "I specifically say that, so that's not true, and you're actually the ass hole for acusing me of it"
If you know cricket, and the Pakistani cricket team... This meme is very on point.
Perhaps one of sports most "potential that was never achieved" teams.
At times they have some of the best players, and on paper team, in the world... And then they'll just play like muppets at important events and you get this meme.
