In solchen Erklärungen würde ich immer gerne zustimmen, aber es gibt so einen Fall, bei dem es für mich eigentlich immer recht eindeutig wird.

Menschen linker Orientierungen wollen zumeist die Anerkennung der Menschenwürde und der Rechte für alle (toleranten) Menschen. Rechte Strömungen behalten gerne ihre Privilegien für sich und gönnen diese Lebensqualität anderen nicht. Was ist da der Kompromiss? Ein bisschen mehr Menschenwürde? Aber dafür keine Toleranz der (kulturell definierenden Begriff hier einfügen)? Menschenwürde ist eigentlich nicht verhandelbar.

Und ab da muss ich zustimmen, konservative Meinungen (wobei ich sagen muss, Menschenfeindlichkeit ist keine Meinung und lässt anders tief blicken) sind grundsätzlich gegen Fairness und Angleichen der Privilegien.

Wie soll das anders als polarisierend betrachtet werden, bei einer so grundsätzlichen Verschiedenheit im Respekt zu Menschen?

Du sprichst von Leser und Leserin bei Alternativen und freien Entscheidungswahl, und das zeigt mir, dass du die Intention hinter Geschlechter gerechter Sprache nicht erkannt hast. Denn Geschlechter sind nicht auf die zwei Rollenbilder von Mann und Frau beschränkt, es ist nur die Norm geworden, während Inter geschlechtliche oder trans Menschen ignoriert bzw. überlesen werden. Leser*innen und Mitglieder*innen macht sämtliche Personen in Schrift sichtbar. Sie werden nicht in Rollenbilder gezwängt oder “einfach schon immer mit gemeint”.

Sprache und Schrift formt Denkmuster, das beweisen viele Studien und Straßen-Experimente, in denen bspw. nach erfolgreichen Schauspielern und anschließend erfolgreiche Schauspielerinnen gefragt wird. Selbst beim generischen Maskulinum ist die Sichtbarkeit eingeschränkt, so oft wir auch vorgeben wollen, alle mitzumeinen. Das Asterisk macht nun auch die anderen Vertreter*innen des Geschlechtsspektrums sichtbar.

Auch wenn laut Artikel die vorherigen Bestimmungen gelten, wirkt es doch alles sehr frustrierend. Gerade der Finanzierung wegen. Die Industriestaaten dürfen quasi ausbeuten, aber zahlen sollen alle gleichermaßen. Das ist unverhältnismäßig und unfair. Ich verstehe den globalen Süden komplett, wenn sie einen Fond wünschen, um mehr Mitspracherecht zu haben. Dass die konservativ geprägte EU das nicht bewilligt, spricht für die EU… Und zwar negativ. Gerade Konservative müssten doch den Naturerhalt erwünschen… Aber soweit geht Konservatismus natürlich nicht. Der Markt Die Natur regelt das schon. Amen.

Ich muss bei der EU mittlerweile immer wieder über Nico Semsrott und seine Präsentation denken. Und es lässt mich echt nicht hoffnungsvoll zurück.

Es ist so verdammt frustrierend…

Wann zum Geier gibt es endlich das AfD Verbotsverfahren? Wen muss ich mit E-Mails konfrontieren? Wie lange will der Verfassungsschutz die Partei noch auf der Liste beobachten? Wie lange dulden wir noch den intoleranten Teil der Gesellschaft? Wie lange dauert es noch, bis es wirklich zu spät ist, um diese Strukturen zu unterbrechen?

Ich habe so viele Fragen, und bleibe nur mit Frustration, Trauer, Schrecken und Wut zurück.

I also agree with you. I think it is one of the factors at play here. But your argument is a big one, too. We outsourced a lot of production and thus knowhow which they have adopted and improved upon. The possibility of a tech wise dependence on one nation gives a lot of power to those, which is also why certain technology sectors should be brought back.

I might misunderstand but I thought the cheap production of necessary components for green energy coming from China, only possible by shortcuts of reducing worker rights or otherwise exploitation of ressources, should be countered.

That’s fair to be annoyed about. I can understand their approach and their tradeoff for a bit of better water-/rain protection and having less components inside. With an USB-C adapter I am using my analog ear buds, even though I switch more and more to bluetooth as I find them more comfortable.

Mediocre headphones, I would not say. They are definitely not top of the line technology wise, but I find them sufficient and sometimes even more than I expected fairly produced hardware to be.

However, for in-ears, I find them comfortable, but I am more an over ears person. ANC is alright, I’d say. A bit annoying if I am using it on the train and keep hitting the wall or head rest. But either I adapt to these sounds or the hardware takes a bit more time to filter these vibrations out.

For the tradeoff of better sustainability and exchangability if something breaks or the batteries need replacing, I find the price fair.

It depends on the content you want to talk about. A general warning won’t help to avoid trigger, stress or anxiety. Better to write your text, read over it, put it in spoilers and prepend content notes (CN) about the included points. These can be various traumatizing aspects and you can be really detailed as people have various stress symptoms. Food, harrassment, bullying, sexism, death - everything you talk about you can warn your readers with content notes.

More VR games are welcome… however, limiting an already small market by platform exclusivity on Meta Quest really doesn’t seem to be a great idea. I’m really sad about this.

I think a better term would be pay to progress. However, it still is quite close to being pay to win, just not competitively in the direct sense.
