I think that's kind of the point. What the current case industry is doing is getting them smoked. They need to let go of the past the "institutional knowledge" that's exactly why Ford and Chevy won't compete with Chinese EV. Those are built from the ground up for the modern era with modern leadership modern supply chains building institutional knowledge that matters today and into the future. I would love nothing more than to drive a Ford EV. I am considering the f150 lightning but in comparison to things I see online it's really far behind.
Have you seen those byd cars on YouTube. Their mid price cars look like high end Mercedes over here. Meanwhile Ford and Chevy will sell you a $75000 pickup with all plastic interior.
None of the legacy companies are competing. Ever. The best we can hope for is rivian and other new players filling the gap.
Not enough Americans will buy small euro cars. Do you seriously think they wouldn't just do that if they could justify the cost of switching off a f150 assembly line to make a small car they would. Ford and Chevy both had a ton of small cars throughout the years but the sales aren't there anymore.
Right? Guy buys a $2000 grill to use is once a year. There's gonna be software updates. The app probably tells you too so you can go and turn it on to get the update at minimum throughout the year.
You can call literally call anyone you know we all have cars here. If you don't know anyone at all you can taxi or Uber. In smaller towns you may even be able to call the police non emergency number and get help from a community officer type employee who has a car and does minor non police related stuff. Many many many things would have to fail before you need to ask a stranger and even in that case you would be hard pressed to not find help within the first couple people you ask.
Well I'm sure they did manage but now they are dying according to this article. So unless you got a time machine so these people can go live in the past again or..... Probably just gonna need that AC
If you had even a tiny brain in your head you would see he's driving it to test out the competition. The article says he's made a lot of trips to China this year to look at their ev cars.
Again I would like to clarify these are people who don't continue further education after high school. Many have access to their parents computers but simply don't use it or realistically know how or care.
People tend to think everyone is like everyone they know. All my friends PC game. All my friends have computers. There's large swaths of people in different social circles where console and mobile gaming is all they do. Hell many of my young people barely have email. They only look in email if we force them to for onboarding documents
They hate us and we broke
