  • Russia is losing in Ukraine which does not have access to nukes. So you can project power without nukes.

    However, to have ultimate deterence nukes are imperative.

  • I do not agree with the last sentences of the article. As a german I am sure Germany as an emerging military power will act in harmony with other European powers. Every European with some understanding of Europe knows the EU is the best answer we have to this new world order.

    Also it is a false myth that Germany relied on cheap Russian energy. Yes it relied heavily on Russian energy, but it was not cheap. However, buying energy is more complex for germany now.
