  • How could you know that? You don't know who's reading this. What if someone like Donald Trump is reading it, you're saying those things to him?

I'm not trying to create an argument, this just feels empty to me.

  • The meaning? It seems fairly self evident, a critique of internet arguments, not far from that cliche of 'touching grass'

  • Under User Taga

  • GIMP

  • GIMP doesn't mean anything though (besides for GNU Image Manipulation Program)? Why are you bringing it up?

    1. 'I' is the thing that is thinking it
    2. I don't 'believe' that my senses are real, but that it's good enough to act as though they are real, regarding the sensory world.
  • I am a trans person and disagree with basically everything you've said. The only reason I upvoted this post is because censorship is really a problem and you should be allowed to say this stuff even if I vehemently disagree with you - I'm not going to change your mind if you're banned or censored, or my talking down to you. If this post gets taken down, I don't mind having a discussion with you via PMs.

I can understand you fear getting your account banned if you say your opinions, however you should be aware that using inflammatory language like 'trans agenda' or 'transgenderism' will make people less happy to engage with you in good faith. I'm not saying you shouldn't be allowed to say that, but rather using more neutral language to discuss your opinions may result in a more productive conversation, as advice. I welcome your reply :)

    1. I am thinking about whether I exist as a conscious being. Therefore there must be an 'I' to be thinking that.
    2. I can't prove that my senses can be trusted with 100% certainty to tell me truth - in fact I can prove the opposite with things like optical illusions. However, when interacting with the world that I only know is real through my senses, basing my behaviour on those same senses that let me know the world exists seems reasonable to me. That's what I call practical knowledge, rather than true knowledge.
  • That sounds like a cool premise!

  • If it's impossible to censor people, you would hardly have a strong prosecution arguing you should have done something impossible.

  • No, just the GNOME Tweaks app. And extensions are fully supported in my experience, by the way

  • You can absolutely use custom GTK themes. I used WhiteSur theme for a while before switching back to default

  • I think most people, including me, appreciate how it looks cleaner though. On Android I get you, they should allow custom themes, but for Linux you can easily swap to a more information dense one.

  • I would disagree on just one of those, ADHD literally stands for attention deficit hyperactive disorder, so if you're not hyperactive, you don't have ADHD, you have ADD. Which can still be valid!

  • Not a Jew, but my family's Jewish, and it's about as difficult as you'd expect. They get offended by the slightest implication that maybe Israel isn't perfect, assume I support Hamas just because I'm opposed to the IDF killing children - to clarify, I'm opposed to anyone killing children, including Hamas. We don't talk about it that much though.

  • He's considered a false prophet, certainly not in a place of honour. At least by orthodox Jews.

  • I'll mention one nobody has said yet: Kaos.

The last episode was definitely setting up a second reason that looked interesting, but then it never happened.

  • Moist filament leads to bubbly prints :)

  • I use empty cardboard boxes and shoe boxes to store my coin collection, and one to use to dry out my spools of filament.

  • Someone can have a fundamental belief that they shouldn't have.

Someone can also have a derivative belief from another derivative belief, without the prior belief having to be fundamental.

Interesting how artists don't make enough money from their creations, so our solution is to make certain information illegal to share, rather than give them a universal basic income.
