You dont have the exposed plate screws like the north american switchplates, Australian ones have a shroud that clips on/off and covers up the mounting screws for a neater finish. (Mounting screws are all flat/posidrive combo heads, so you can use a drill to take them on and off.)
Also to add: all lighting and power circuits are required to be on RCBO's or breaker+RCD unless they are extremely old switchboards that havent had any modifications done since the law was introduced (as modifying the switchboard would trigger an rewuired upgrade in most cases).Any device that is in a common area that can be touched by a non-licenced person (ie non-electrician) should also be on a RCBO, but this isnt as well enforced.
So even if you do manage to youch live parts on the Aus socket/plugs, you will be protected by the RCD/RCBO instantly.
The downside to the Aus socket is that it can be a little tricky/annoying plugging something in when you are reaching behind an object (like a couch or cupboard) and cant see the socket to line it up.
Going from my old pixel 5 rear-scanner to an in-screen scanner ahs been a nightmare. I have dry hands and i have gone from a <0.5s unlock to a 3-10s unlock depending how many times i need to scan or lick my finger, wipe it off then scan, or usually failing scans/giving up and typing in pincode.
"Oh my child is doing something funny or i quickly need to gake a photo of something...aaaaand its gone".
It is really fucking frustrating missing something, or even just trying to check a notification or timer quickly and having to stop and go through the whole dance of just unlocking the phone.Seriously considering just going back to typing the fucking pincode 50 times a day.
And confusingly in Australia 'Light' beer is low alcohol (~3.5%) and in the USA 'Light' is low-flavour. I think many australians have been caught off gaurd by going to the US and drinking bud light thinking 'these soda-water beers really go to your head'
Pretty sure the cloud cover is just to save processing power on the twilight rendering, much easier to just apply a static flat light source to everything
I get ya, what works for you is best, i used to put my phone in my shirt pocket a lot too but too many times i would lean over to do something/pick up something and then hear it hit the floor just as i straightened up.
Another trick i like is to wear those wired 'ear bud' style headphones that come with my phone and run the cord down my shirt along my back and into phone in pants pocket.
The earbuds fit under ear muffs and dont dangle in front of me when using tools as they can only hang about 10cm in front of my face if they fall out, and to answer a call i just squeeze the button on the cord and the mic seems to pick me up fine for a quick call and keep working.
I hated aladdin, the monkey and parrot were two of the best characters and without the comically over-the-top 'acting' they are completely different characters.
I have plenty of website reject even my fairly vanilla [email]+XYZ@ address add–ons
