  • It was showcased in Sony State of Plays (what felt like) most of last year but it didn't really wow anyone from them other then existing Helldivers fans. Even if a game is what people want, someone has to play it first to spread the word. Among Us is a great example of that.

  • I think it depends on the context. Calling me a full stack is an acknowledgement that I can work on every step of the system and usually every part of the system. I don't consider it to mean equally good.

However if it keeps getting brought up when I am not supposed to be working on those other steps, that signals to me that maybe they are trying to push more work into me that I shouldn't be do.

I can appreciate that when someone says "Our X Expert". It definitely feels like more praise and more value.

  • Probably one of the harder things that I could do. It's a replacement for TV so I could try and slot in TV but I think it would be frustrating to not have the copious amounts of content

  • I came to post always eating breakfast. I prepare overnight oats and eat it when I wake up and its helped a lot with concentration. There's definitely something to be said about a lot of marketed greasy or sugary breakfasts

  • Yep. I could say it was autocorrect but more likely my brain was just not working .

  • Oblivion Obsidian is the only other company that can hold expectations currently

  • Moreso then "going full Nazi" just spreading misinformation on sensitive topics. Feels like a pretty good safeguard until people realize that AI is a not only not the most reliable source of information but worse a full blown liar in its current implementation

  • All those random scraps of metal you find lying are just the end result of someone trying to travel back in time and the time machine not surviving

  • It's the same as Color balancing. The best solution often depends on the light balance of the room. Nothing stopping you from editing the theme to keep optimize out

  • Nearly spat out my drinks at the leap in logic

  • Looks so good I've called an audible cheat day

  • A term used to describe people who go to foreign countries to hook up, usually to fulfill a ethnicity kink and usually presented as those who can't pick up local women so usually somewhere prostitution is not really frowned upon

  • A day with no plans where I'm not thinking about the end of my days off. You don't get it with a week off. Every day you have a thought about how many days left but two week on Wednesday. You've done what you want the weekend is still far away and you know the next week I'd more time. Bliss, no need to worry about utilising your time off. Just pure impulse.

  • If you can veto actions related to investigating your own country, that seems like a failure of the rules put in place. Why wouldn't someone do that?

Apply laws that allow the removal of votes of those affected by such things. This should be an obvious decision. At the point it can be abused, the system has already completely failed since it's a vote anyway.

  • Additionally, don't copy and paste anything until you understand it. If you don't understand what code golf is being spewed, don't take the top answer. If you don't understand any answer, you probably don't understand the underlying systems well enough and need to re-evaluate what your asking for.

  • The only way to win the argument is to come up with an association that has nothing to do with computers at all.

I use Linux Mint because I like Mint Ice Cream

  • Moving jobs I went from 1 meeting a week to multiple a day and all It has done is made me think my new job has no idea what is important priorities shift almost daily due to other meetings that I'm not a part of and nothing gets done properly because we dont have time to refine.

The goal should be to have as few meetings as possible because it means they are unnecessary. If you have a plan for your backlog set, you don't need to meet up for an hour every week to sort it out

  • But that also doesn't matter because the granularity is meaningless if you don't make decisions for differences between 71F and 70F

  • Depends on how addicted. People tend to conflate 1 cup in the morning with 6 throughout the day because they both use them as a pick me up.
