  • Corporations still find loopholes and pay nearly no taxes… If corporations and Billionaires paid their taxes just like common folks, the country would make a lot more in taxes.

  • Regardless, there has never been a tax for dining. State taxes are in single digits and varies across states. Maybe you added a very generous tip which doubled your bill and you are calling that as dining tax.

  • I have transported a 7 foot long TV entertainment stand from ikea in my Mustang.

  • Pet cockroaches??? I don’t even wanna imagine.

  • Right? That’s how we get grilled in interviews. We can’t get away with general statements without answering the question, but somehow no one asks a presidential candidate the same follow-up questions.

  • I don’t think anyone is saying that chromecast as a “functionality” is being killed. It’s not the same product, the new one is a set top box compared to the current dongle, with better specs and 3 times the price. People would buy multiple chromecast dongles to have it all around their house or to carry it when traveling. Now, many will not do it with this set top box.

They kept the same name and functionality but definitely “killed” the old product - chromecast dongle which everyone knows as chromecast.

  • But it went from a dongle to a set top box for more than 3 times the price. It’s not really the same device, just similar functionality.

  • I got a watch band bought from Amazon for $10, as a Christmas gift. It was the wrong size so I ordered one from Aliexpress. The packaging and the sticker with Chinese lettering were exactly the same as the Amazon one and it was only about $1. Sure, the Amazon package came sooner but it was evident that it was the same product.

  • Isn’t the WiFi free? It’s free for a reason. You aren’t forced to use it.

  • Every public WiFi is like this. iCloud relay doesn’t work on any airport or airplane WiFi. I need to always turn it off and other ‘hide IP’ settings. I have a Target with a dead zone and I’m sure T&C are the same. I just use it when I need it and don’t auto-connect. Walmart needs precise location to pick up from the app. Sam’s club app needs precise location for checkout form the app. Mcd app needs my precise location to give me deals. I wouldn’t say this is asshole design. Our regulation let them design it this way. I turn off my NextDNS and iCloud relay when I’m having issues and then turn back on. Nothing else you can do about it, apart from not using the WiFi or app, unfortunately.

  • We still have that in India. When I was younger I used to be confused about my parents depositing money in a post office.

  • Did you reach out to the seller to confirm? In my experience, if the listing has expired which happens when only one 1 item is being sold, eBay doesn’t show all the info after the sale. I try to look up old orders and this happens a lot. The sellers are usually responsive and care about their ratings so they will provide any listing clarification or even a refund before you can leave a negative review. eBay is also good with buyer protection if the sellers refuses a refund. I suspect eBay cannot change their reviews so they are giving time for the sellers to resolve any issues.

  • This isn’t helping their labor conditions though. It’s just helping companies like Amazon to sell the same junk at a higher price, as Amazon sellers buy the same products from Alibaba, and eliminate competition.

  • So when is your Costco not busy? Genuine question as I have gone there mid-day during the week and it will still be packed. One day I went 30 min before close and the parking lot was still full.

  • Seems like it works because I haven’t seen a post about Porsche. I just learnt about it from your comment.

  • Take your clothes out of the washer immediately, untangle them if necessary, and put them in the dryer. Don’t just dump all the clothes from washer to dryer. Remove the clothes from the dryer as soon as it's done while they're still warm. Hang shirts on hangers and put away the pants. Lastly, only buy new shirts and pants that are iron-free.

  • You are underestimating the amount of people who make very low payments based on their income. My SO can pay off their loan in 5-6 years based on our income, but if they didn’t have a proper job they could make minimum payments and pay off the loan in 25 years. You obviously will pay a lot in interest but people do that if they don’t earn a lot of money or make bad financial decisions.

  • My keyfob battery was dead and I couldn’t use the hidden keyhole to unlock it. I watched a video on YouTube but I still wasn’t able to make it work. It wasn’t an emergency but I would just break the glass if it was one.

  • I started using the app regularly as I was looking for a job and I’m surprised by how many post and comment about politics, especially on public posts and treat it like it’s Facebook.
