  • Hehe. I've just got a Sony Bluetooth speaker sitting on the dash. For poddies it's good enough.

  • What's wrong with just a pot box, a motor and some batteries?

  • Wallace and Grommit seem to show otherwise, with the ability to lay new track ahead of the train in real time.

  • Still using comskip.exe today although it seems to be having more trouble than it used to.

  • I forgot mine once but happened to have two AAA batteries in my pocket. I looked weird but I can didn't go deaf. (It was a seated event.)

  • Sounds good, but can you trust an OS partition not to store things in %programdata% etc that should be encrypted?

  • I'm happy with most of their stuff and use it a lot (calendar, drive, keep etc) but I know not to trust them not to kill things. I keep an IMAP copy of my emails and a local copy of my photos just in case...

  • Bitcoin Cash maybe. Didn't they bork Bitcoin (Core) so you have to wait for confirmations in the next block?

  • Smell? :)

  • Use a coin then, Willie.

  • Can I buy a

    <crlf>

    ?

  • Yes. Sometimes I wonder if it's deliberate to get the grammar police to respond, or if it's just organic.

  • I guess there could work as opposed to they're.

  • Lol I was not expecting to spend my last 15 minutes reading chapter one of a flea-porn! The entire book appears to be in the Wikipedia article, but alas I must sleep and leave the flea, the two satiated love birds and the priest until another day.

  • In case it helps anyone, my trick is to use Voice Notify to read out notifications. I tell it things not to read out such as reactions to posts etc. That way I don't bother picking up my phone every time it makes a noise.

  • VLC, Open Capture Device would probably have worked. Or OBS if you wanted to get fancy.

  • I'm self hosting it, costs me nothing.

  • I got one of those Epson ink tank printers for $250au. I think it's the first time inkjet printers have become legit affordable and high capacity.

Laser still wins on reliability though, and being an Epson means it's a Tamagochi so needs to be used monthly at least so it doesn't die.
