  • I think when you have just been “given” everything your entire life, the concept of “earning” something is incomprehensible.

  • It’d be such great fiction.

An aging, demented despot thinks he should undeservingly receive a “Peace Prize”—largely because his old-man racism can’t stand being upstaged by a black prize recipient who sassed him at a dinner once—and he campaigns aggressively for the prize.

He doesn’t live out the ideals of the prize so as to position himself to be a worthy candidate—he simply shouts at everyone that he is the singularly best person in the world to receive it.

When it goes to a person who lived out the ideals of peace, the despot quickly sends his cartoonishly overpowered military to her country, conquers it, and then the despot with his nigh-omnipotent forces pressures the principled woman into forfeiting the “peace” prize to him.

The aging despot finally gets his “Peace Prize” through force inspired by racism.

The world gave up a long time ago…

  • We design an interferometric configuration where the single atom serves as an ultralight, quantum-limit beam splitter that is momentum entangled with the input photon. By varying the trap depth of the optical tweezer, we dynamically tune the atom’s intrinsic momentum uncertainty, thus enabling the observation of a gradual shift in the visibility of single-photon interference. The interferometer also allows us to distinguish the classical noise caused by atom heating from the quantum-limited noise due to the momentum transfer, illustrating a quantum-to-classical transition.

  • I’d choose the ICE Agent, but I see myself as the predator in that scenario.

  • Sounds like he has a lot of TDE…

  • I was incredibly confused by the headline, so I expected to see a “nottheonion” community, and then was extra confused until I saw the article’s domain.

It was quite the rollercoaster for 0.7 seconds..

  • I will compliment the article’s author for using direct quotes from Trump.

Too often, the press tend to clean up his grammar so it makes sense and doesn’t seem so offensive to the literate.

Direct quotes like “watch his ass” and “got bum-rushed right so fast that he didn't get into that” help convey not only Trump’s sentiment, but how god-awful ignorant the fuckwit is.

  • Better pop one before that whistling competition…

  • Optical illusion.

When you turn the picture upside down it’s Tom Selleck.

  • I bet the baby might argue the infanticide was the worst part.

  • I just let the MAGA in-law talk at me for a while, then move on.

  • You answer your door?

  • Honestly, kudos to whoever selected the headline image for this article…

  • They stand no chance against Calvin…

  • This is interesting—it implies he intentionally committed suicide while also implicating Trump as a fellow sex offender.

  • It’s a bad concept for the materials and manufacturing we are limited by at present.

I hope they explore it, but not release such a device until it can be considered comparable in durability and function to their current phones.

  • A “selfie” in this context would be using a firearm instead of a phone camera, no?

  • I am optimistic that a forward-thinking Russia of the future won’t deny 6 year old girls or 90 year old women the egalitarian opportunity to “defend the motherland”.

  • If we stretch this thing out until the year 2509, we’ll get them down to zero.
