  • Considering the direction the US is headed.

Overtly repeating many of the ideas and actions of the 1930 fascist government.

Not really sure leaders of such governments should be considered to have much value in such ideas.

  • Can we crowd fund an artist. To find a spot he must pass by on the way to the pa Ace. Find a mice wall. Any paint a huge baby tromp getting a blow job from Starmer.

  • Share a pic. We want to compare 5yo you.

We won't laugh. Well we won't admit we're Laughing our arses off.

  • Also important to remember.

Since privatisation. Water companies have sold of 30 reservoirs for development. Without replacing them.

Our current shortages exist purely because, water companies took the spare storage, and stole the investment funds to pay share holders.

Climate change is real. But summer water shortages are not related.

  • UK yes. As long as controlled.

  • Exactly. No matter the y dimension. Barcode data is only stored in x. Whereas QR uses x and y for data.

They also use the corner squares and a few specific dots to allow scanning from greater angles. Basically allowing the data to be read in 3d space. Even though only 2d is used to store that data.

This is why QR can work well with cameras. Whereas bar codes are designed for very short range laser reflection.

PS lots of info on QR online including open source programs to make your own.

The same goes for bar codes. But readers involve some very simple maker skills. Making simple barcode readers was a common school science project in the early 90s.

  • Repeat offenders and unlicensed drivers happen here as well. But the use of cameras makes it much harder then the past.

But having lived in the US. Most of it has so little public transport not driving is impossible. Here it is doable in all but the most remote areas. Just crap compared to the 80s and before. It is still way better the most cities in the US.

  • Not really the question.

My opinion (and it is just that) is based on Corbyn response to being attached to the party. He dose not seem interested in being a front runner again.

Plus there are at least 40 current labour MPs who may move over before the next election. A new name without his media history is likely exactly what is needed ATM.

  • When has any global standard ever been elected. What process even exists to do so.

The whole idea that some other nation gaining power post ww2 being more democratic is just crap

The pre WW2 world was far from some democratic ideal. The US just took over from Europe's fiscal control using exactly the same techniques. Just as the UK took over from Spain etc.

Is it shitty yes. But the idea that if any of these nations sat back. Some peaceful agreement between waring nations would have evolved. Is just fantasy. It is looking back with a modern mindset that simply did not exist in any power regime at the time.

  • I'd be very surprised if Corbyn leads this new party.

  • Well yes. That is why it was respected. America used it's delayed entry to build it's reduction capability. Used that to help win. Then not having exhausted it took advantage.

But while correct. It's a more accurate way of saying the doller was respected. As a strong trade currency other nations could use.

  • Countries that value financial sovereignty.

Keep it by storing a tradeable reserve in other currencies. And or gold and silver but that has become less common.

The doller has won purely because it is respected around the world. Because most nations have some desire to trade with the US.

As that desire weakens sovereignty or your own currency is less strong if you are holding less stable currencies. And the doller is looking less and less stable every time trump talks.

  • BRICC current dedollerization has more to do with his tarrifs attacks harm to international trade then then anything else. Making trade with your nation less profitable. Is a rather stupid move if you want the world to use your currency to trade amounts each other.

When the global currency is run by a petty man child. It is the nations not making an effort to move away from it that are more worrying.

  • Given a sycamore can like for 500 years although 300 is more common.

If that the maths we follow. Potential life lost to the tree of 350 years is more reasonable.

  • They say it. Because they have never run a business. Honestly most have no reason to understand how banks charge for cash payments.

For small businesses they also assume the business dose not pay cash into the bank. Also the fact many small store historically charged users for small card transactions. Gives many 40s plus customers a out dated view of how the banks charge. The cash in cash out cash and carry retail business no longer exists. But the fact that many local store used to work that way to reduce costs still effects many customers opinions.

As for lack of data. They say that because it's basically true. All card transactions do store data.

  • We already tax profits.

So this is just a "don't tax our wealth" cry.

  • Every ml of water everyone in the world drinks. Has been through human waste millions of times.

  • You are failing to understand my point.

I don't disagree with the birth of capitalism. Although it is basically a new name for imperialism. It is the obvious effect of the post fudal middle class becoming the leadership post aristocratic rule. But it can also be an idea independent of its birth and leadership.

Where I disagree that anything currently existing can push those processes towards socialism. BRICC members are far from a socialist majority. Most nations in BRICC are equally supporting of the ideas of Capitalism. At least the ideas sold by those that use it for imperialism.

It is entirely possible. (Although far from probable) That BRICCs or a descendent from it. Will lead to the global south rising to take over from the current western default rule.

But for that future to be socialist it will need the leadership of those nations to think on socialist ways. And most simply do not do so ATM. Nor dose any probable event indicate a change in how these nations would run the world economy.

Unfortunately for Socialism to thrive. Yes you need opinions to have a major effect on world politics. Without it socialism as an ideal is impossible.

  • In theory. And if you look at post war UK. It Def lead to a greater support for socialism, the forming of new party etc. removing our past 2 party system with a different one. The very one that no longer supports socialism.

But socialism cannot and will not grow it of nowhere. The US has never had a large support for it. The UK and much of Europe had people with respect pushing socialism in the 50 to 60. Ex soldiers seeing a whole new way of doing things built the very socialism we understand now.

The US just dose not have anyone effectively making arguments for this. Without such leaders. And honestly we also have non effective left in Europe anymore either.

Add to that. Their is absolutely no evidence of capitalism losing control. It is actually doing very well by it's own standards. As instead ideas like socialism are losing power while capitalism is effectively moving wealth into the hands of the few and most powerful.

It is only failing by the opinion of those of us that disagree with it.. and expecting that to start socialism without some major change. Is just wishful thinking.
