  • The fans are fine with a $40 always online game with kernel level anti-cheat, a battle pass and micro-transactions. Somehow I think they will suck it up as usual and keep playing the game. Gamers are absolute pushovers and negative attention like in this case, is entirely random. If they would have enforced this from day 1, none of these people would have cared.

  • Just create more ram out of thin air with zram. I've got 60gb now. 30 something actual ram (some of my 32gb gets allocated for the APU) and the same amount as zram. I can run 2 chrome instances now!

  • Agreed. But I think it is utterly useless if you aren't experienced enough to tell if it is bullshitting. Almost every time I have asked for a little adjustment, it just makes something up that looks good on first glance. My favorite is when it invents python libraries that magically handle all the difficult stuff. But man is it useful for my crappy little bash scripts or regex.

  • If all they use is a web browser and solitaire then putting them on Linux is super easy. Got my dad on Mint for years now. I recommend KPatience for solitaire needs.

  • Nobody should be buying single use bottles anyway if there are alternatives available. Maybe that's the quiet part - making them less attractive to consumers

    Wow. I got played. I did finally switch to just drinking tap water and the number of single use plastic bottles I go through each weak is down by 90% or smth. Just like 2-3 bottles of coke left. I buy some local off-brand stuff cause screw big corporations.
