  • Oh, were back to this? Feel like it's been a decade since this was all in the spotlight. Haven't watched it yet, but has anything changed, or is it the same stuff as before? I actually was wondering not too long ago what happened to them because, at least for me, I didn't hear anything about them for years now.

  • Im not completely helpless! Haha. I'll admit he was never a good teacher in the sense that he would get frustrated easily and would just do it most of the time, but that's not to say I didn't learn a fair share of how to do things from him. I just find it wild that he can literally do pretty much anything and is not phased by anything. Growing up I learned to do oil changes, brake replacements, change car headlights or tires for cars, and we had the chance to redo a small house once and it took a year but I learned about flooring, insulation, and drywall. I wasn't there for electric or plumbing, but that doesn't mean I can't do the normal stuff like change an outlet, replace a fan or light fixture, or fix the pipes under sinks. I do not know the more involved stuff, though, like running a new electric cable and connecting it to my electric panel, nor do I want to! It's just not my thing, and that stuff makes me nervous.

  • Im like half of this. I'll never compete with my father, though, lol. He just seems to know how to fix and do everything. The only thing I can do for him is computers, and I feel bad because it's nowhere near what he can do and has done for me. Like how im basically broke and in debt and needed a car bad since my last one was 18 years old and he didnt want to keep fixing it or want to fix it because something bad was probably gonna happen soon. So he loans me the money and we buy my cousins car they were going to trade in... within the first month, the entire engine is shot. Dealership wants 9k, so he's like, nah. Tow to his house, and he buys a new engine online for 3k and puts it in himself. Took him some time, but he just finished a few weeks ago and has been driving it for 500 miles to make sure it's OK. I'm about to get it back this weekend.

My entire basement flooded a month ago from leaky water heater and then find out after everything was demolished and removed that there were also 5 different leaks in water pipes as well. He just came by and replaced all the plumbing with new pipes while it was exposed in 1 day.

The list goes on, but you get the point. I seriously have no clue what I would do without him, and I know he is getting older now so its kind of scary to think about. I got about 1 more year of debt, and I should be ok after that, thankfully. I'll never forget everything he has done to help. It sucks that a lot of people never get to have something like that.

  • Another release in December.

Just kidding, but it's totally believable!

  • Dam, I actually painted my bedroom orange years ago, lol. I loved it. I then met a girl who would become my wife, and she hated it so much.

  • Slow collapse? 10 months feels extremely fast to manage taking an economy that was at least somewhat stable and possibly on the rise to straight-up dumpster fire along with everything else thats just crazy thrown in for good fun. Felt really fast to lose it all..

  • From watching almost any news program, that's basically the impression I get, even if it's not actually said. It's disgusting...

  • I think the first episode of this season's south park did the same thing.

  • Normally, a 2nd company is used where they exploit the first to further grow this one and funnel any actual money into it while bankrupting the first. I am curious to see what aspect of this helps that and what company it will be that profits from it.

  • Guaranteed years from now, tons of people still buy madden and have no idea EA was ever sold. Honestly, even if they did know, im sure most will still buy it.

  • Yeah, that is correct. As someone who grew up during peak Simpsons, they were most relevant up until the end of the 90's. Maybe 01-02 tops, but that was definitely when it faded from most people's minds. I did end up seeing the movie and even went to the theaters for it just because. It was odd because everyone loved the Simsons, but everyone was just there because everyone was curious about what they were going to do. It was meh and quickly forgotten, lol. I can't even imagine who this new movie is targeting.

  • When I started my first real job in 2006, we had vending machines where everything was like .50 cents or .75 cents tops. I think that was over by around 2010. The dollar and $1.25 stayed for like 8 years after that. Now everything is $2 or more. Just for reference, I've been at the same job the entire time.

  • Man, I am jealous of how much you get to play, lol. I am literally at the last hour of this game from when it first released, but I haven't been able to finish it since... same goes for everything I play. I recently saw you going through the last of us 2, and it's the same for that, but im only about halfway. List goes on and on and I haven't picked up anything really in the last year that's not a free monthly game.

I think your post is going to motivate me. Im going to try and beat it this week and break my awful no finish streak.

  • Some will be worth a lot at first and then they will probably be worthless in a few years like Beenie babies.

  • They got that on android as well and have been loving it. Just tell them who I like, and within an hour of the game starting, it sits at the top. If you click it, a larger bubble opens with some more details.

  • The news is a joke. I dont watch meet the press, but my wife had it on briefly this morning and the discussion was the shutdown. They all sat there and gave zero reasons why it is acceptable for them to do this and even used a story about how it effects real Americans who live paycheck to paycheck. Not one of them stated anything about how the Republicans are about to remove billions from health care or any other valid argument for why it is needed. It's sad that the news is controlled this much.

  • My wife is crazy about drugs and wouldn't take them or even drink outside a handful of times. I've been with her. When she got pregnant, she would just take the pain and never take anything because she was so nervous about all of it. Guess what, 1 of our 2 kids has autism and is clearly not due to any drugs...

  • I always associated it with the smell of the static charge that your TV gave off with one of those old tube TVs.

  • Honestly, the more I think about that ending, the more I feel it was done on purpose to easily secure a second season renewal. At this time, it's still not renewed.

    I loved the show otherwise.
