  • Devs most likely disagree, but ultimately its not up to them. The company will do anything to further exploit the massive user base of fortnite because its one of the few behemoths they have that rake in money. They hope a lot of new people will see and play it and maybe spend some money. In the end its just the final avenue to go to milk these games of whatever left they will offer. They may get a big boost in players for the first month, then im sure it dies back down again.

All I wanna know is if these launchers will be the only way into the games or if the existing games will still work. I have played fall guys since its release, so if it's taken away in this way, I'll be a bit pissed off. I'll never use fortnite.

  • Ahh, yeah, it can be crowded. We made that mistake the first year and went the week before school in the south starts. The last 2 we did it the week after they go back, like the 3rd week in August, and its been pretty dead. This year especially, and I have a feeling it was even less because people are cutting back as well due to the struggles.

I think things have changed. We don't really drink when with the kids, and we really didn't see much where it was out of control anywhere. I do agree you gotta watch the areas you go to, especially at night. Different generations, I feel like those times are over these days, haha.

  • Total gas cost for round trip was 2 fills each way, so just under $200. There's also tolls that are pretty expensive these days, but I would say they still bring the total under $300 for 4 people to travel. Of course, I should double this cost since im going twice as far if I do decide to take the plunge.

Just curious what was so bad that you hated the beach? When I grew up the only place my parents took me was Williamsburg VA like 6 years in a row. It got old but looking back i appreciate it. I also hate the beach, I never really enjoyed it and would rather do just about anything else, but the wife loves it, and the kids seem to as well, so I hold my breath, lol. It also seems like the easiest solution for smaller kids.

  • Look at that line. America is great again, everyone.

  • Thanks, I see some cool options there. I'll check it out some more. Only other problem is myrtle beach is about the extent of driving south with 2 kids. Its a little over 10 hours. Flying may work, but it does cost more.

  • I didnt down vote you, I just saw this now. I up voted it to offset it :)

  • Wow, our family has gone 3 times now in the past 5 years. It's always been great for us. As someone trying to get the cheapest vacation with the most value, this was really the only spot to go. Sure, the hotel rooms were not the greatest, but they had on-site watersides, kids' pools, lazy river, and multiple indoor and outdoor pools with hot tubs. Beach was just past that. Idk where you're from, but for someone in NJ, there is nothing that I have found that offers anything like that from here all the way down. Entire week was like $1700. If I wanted a hotel half as good here, it's like $4k to 5k for the same week. The only complaints I have are some sketchy areas to be avoided, but we got the same problems up here. They are all tourist traps, but I would rather spend the least to give my kids a decent time. Also, the beach is way nicer than NJ!

Maybe one day I'll have some extra money to go somewhere else...

  • I was curious, so I looked him up. Apparently, he is estimated at $50 million. That's way more than enough to retire, but i will say I was kind of shocked at how low it was. Guess I just expect to see these people in the hundreds. Who knows, it is just an estimate.

  • It's not shocking at all. I dont watch CNN much, but from what I have seen its clear they do not ask or discuss the hard or controversial questions because they are awful, just like most of the others. At least this proves that they absolutely do it on purpose.

  • I'm glad I never gave up my home hosted solution. For years, it looked like a dying path. Then I found Navidrome which is doing some great work building off the original Subsonic and the amazing android app Symfonium.

  • Top 3 today are just shy of 1 trillion dollars...

  • Isn't the big difference that they have to take it everytime they fail and open one they shouldn't? At least thats how it is at my place. They get a lecture, and then retake the course. Everyone else does it once a year along with all the other mandatory training we need to do for compliance.

  • Back in high school we knew a kid who wasnt the brightest but I guess I didnt fully understand how bad that was until a question was asked about dinosaurs and he really believed they existed around 1000 years ago. When you get information like that from someone, it changes things.

  • Oh yeah, we took over after that, and he came back on at the end later on when he came down a bit. This was years ago, I wish my life was still this fun, haha.

  • Our one friend loves drugs, but not so much alcohol. He used to drink socially, but not so much now. So we invited him along to be our driver to hit a bunch of breweries one day. Decent amount of driving since not many were near each other. We're all in the car and halfway there, and he then tells us hey I just took a bunch of shrooms before we started driving... what!!!

  • Did they not let her in on their plans? Does she really not know?

  • It's sad that none of these people you deal with don't know what service they use or vendors they deal with? That sounds fantastic for you, scary for everyone else.

  • Im guessing speed. To me, one of my favorite improvements over the ps4 was load speeds of everything. It felt like I went back in time to SNES days when walking into the next room was instant, unlike on the ps1 for the same games.

  • Im almost not sure if I want that. Most of the games I would do that for are older games from like 25 years ago, and I honestly can't see playing them today and ever having those fond moments like I did then. In my case, the time of playing them also mattered a lot.
