  • They need to stop calling it a UN alternative. It's literally just a Trump Appreciation Club. It's all about appeasing his ego, as made clear by his temper tantrums against anyone who doesn't want to join

  • These cowards come in heavily armed a dozen at once. Even if you manage to shoot one, you're as good as dead when the others start firing back.

  • Right or not, if you just threaten your opponent with enough juridical costs, they'll most of the time give up.

  • I'm paying about $22 on Porkbun, they're pretty good

  • Not sure what this has to do with privacy.

Extra features require a subscription, big fucking surprise.

You can self-host, but that could be an actual privacy nightmare.

  • For some reason, this immediately registers as Belgian

  • Isn't France on of the top contenders? There's absolutely a ton of money to be made by competing.

  • Simply location alone makes a great difference in the taste profile. And there's plenty of other reasons.

It's like saying all dogs are Chihuahuas because they all have a nose, a tail and ears.

  • That's the idea, the job doesn't matter, only how much you work (half-time, full-time, 4/5, 9/10, ...).

Here in Belgium, for me, full-time is 38 hours. Because 40 hours is easier, that means I get 20 vacation days + 12 days for compensate for the 2 hour surplus each week.

Then there's a few extra days, like when a holiday falls in the weekend, you're allowed to move it.

There's a lot more, but they often require special conditions. You can get days off for education. When you're fired or leaving the job, you can get days off when applying for a new job. There's days when you're getting (or adopting) a baby.

  • You are quite literally saying "I, as a vegan, have never met one who did that."

And you don't understand how the comic applies to you too, like OP is saying?

  • No idea what you're talking about, I don't hate vegans? Just saying some are ruining it for the rest of us and they often don't even realize.

  • I've met many, most simply aren't aware.

It's funny that you mention most omnis can't differentiate. Because if you'd shut up about being vegan, there wouldn't even be a need to differentiate anything.

  • Both Norway and Germany have pledged to send troops too

  • I use Grayjay, it works pretty well and has a clean UI.

  • Chinese food in Europe is generally pretty bland and tailored to the older generations who can't handle heat and don't like foreign spices. I've never been to China, but I've heard you can't really call it "Chinese".

Compare it to Thai food, which is usually a lot more authentic, which is liked a lot more on the chart here.

  • I do. But every other comment is about how the thing this community is about sucks.

Lemmy really has a problem with "fun". Everything is bad and you need to be told about it.

  • The rhino is playing.

The pudu's female companion is in heat, so he's being territorial, according to what I've read.

  • It's a bit two sided I believe. The energy demand is increasing, so there's indeed more coal being burnt.

But at the same time, the share of clean energy sources compared to coal is also getting bigger and bigger.

So it's not all bad. Mostly seems the demand for energy is growing too fast to decently transition, let's hope they can catch up and get rid of coal as soon as possible.
