  • Unfortunately, we all know for the US it would go fine. The UK is the same, we whine for a bit, then nothing happens

  • Can you at least make the text smaller? That way people aren't as bothered by it, but you still have your licence?

  • He didn't even need to read the article, "thrown" is making it incredibly obvious someone did this

  • I don't think classifying cisgender as a slur is defendable, especially on its own.

Not saying it is a slur, but I've seen it used like a slur before, mostly coupled with "white" and "men"/"women". But I'm fairly sure Elon himself is against censoring language for that reason (when it comes to things that don't personally offend him). It just seems dumb and hypocritical to me

  • I totally agree, making sure they're seen as people is great, and changing the wording to reflect that is a positive change.

I just don't think "unhoused people" is the right one. To me it implies that it's temporary and there's some sort of action being done to rectify it. I have no idea why I have that preconception though. Maybe it's just me?

I guess something like "homeless people" is a middle ground, but it still has the stigma

  • Funny and got a chuckle, but I really can't wait for the bear meme to die. It's tiring and has overstayed its welcome.

I miss less toxic comment sections

  • CUDA accelerated JSON parser is sorely needed

  • Thank you, I haven't used Ubuntu for nearly a decade 😅 I've updated my comment suggesting people look at the replies

  • Ubuntu has ads, or at least takes money to have shortcuts to Amazon and the like

Edit: I might be wrong here, please read the replies

  • Also, the jobs that pay decently will start to not pay decently. And now we're back at square one

  • I never said it was, and for some people it will be worth it.

I'm not going to get Elon's stupid chip, I'm just saying it's not as one sided as you say

  • It's experimental tech, I wouldn't want to be the Guinea pig either.

However, if I was quadriplegic and could only use the somewhat limited external tech, and a significant portion of my life was interacting with a computer. Fuck yeah the risk is worth a performance boost. Especially considering this is going to be a lot safer and more powerful when it hits the mass market

  • Totally agree, they'll never go for that. I meant licensed as in that the media is being legally distributed. But they wouldn't go for it as it would mean that customers might have an amount of ownership.

The distinction is that the private tracker is legal to run, as you'd be paying the licence holder for the ability to torrent using their private tracker.

I like the Audible idea of "you have X amount of GB a month that you can download, and you can pay more for more GB". It gives the customer a reason to keep paying, and therefore allow the business to exist.

Licence is probably the wrong word as I'm not anywhere near an expert on this

  • I'd pay 40€ a month for an officially licensed private torrent tracker. If they gave discounts based on the amount seeded I doubt they would even need the stupidly expensive infrastructure.

I don't even have the arr stack because it's cheaper, just because it's more convenient and no one can take it away from me

  • Is this a joke?

  • I mean this with the greatest respect, I'm not making a judgement on the gameplay.

But there's a whole spectrum between Roblox and the latest Quadruple A™ that all consist of "worse graphics"

  • It's true that they shouldn't be baiting in with an unsustainable free version, but this is essentially paywalling the subtraction function, not removing it

  • I guess in the modern version you'd have the child, then an adult with all bars empty. Then that's just it because they died before reaching retirement age from stress and poverty related illness

  • I'm not disagreeing, I also don't want these models producing CSAM.

But in the hypothetical that we have a clean model that still generates CSAM, what would be your argument against it?
