  • I love what they've made but their views are absolutely abhorrent. Having said that I am willing to donate as the project overall is a beautiful piece of software & I've donated a handful of times already but I will seethe that a single penny goes to keeping .ml online.

  • Thats the way to use it lol, and I hear that a lot : ( most annoying this is we should be able to have a world where no one wants for anything anymore but alas no line must perpetually go up.

  • Don't use tiktok lol, I've seen a few old clips passed around on forums and stuff uploaded to youtube though, shit looked great. Meanwhile the smallest rave gets shut down pretty quickly by the police these days : ( also pretty envious of pints being far more affordable back then, I barely even go to spoons as a student as it just costs way too fuckin much. I guess one upside of the modern day though is party drugs being cheap, pure and plentiful but that can obviously also have significant drawbacks.

  • I will forever seethe that I missed out on the 1990s, especially considering how IT was a money printer back then & the rave scene was top notch. I just about caught the tail end of the old internet as well, even that has gone to complete corporate dogshit.

    And owning a house wasnt a Pipedream : (

  • Try rutracker, genuinely a excellent public tracker. Entirely in Russian but Google translate deals with that easily.

  • I can even get a pint of beer with a sit down meal for not far off the cost of McDonalds.

  • Welcome all newbies!

  • Same

  • I think we're going to get a strange three tiered internet, one where you have the mainstream social media platforms etc, one that is just AI SEO bot hell and one that is buried and only really used by enthusiasts. (For example, IRC isnt dead yet not by a long shot but its entirely technical people now using it).

  • This won't work at all, children will begin finding even more shady corners of the internet to get around blocks & I doubt any enforcement action will actually impact the big players, this is just killing off small British websites. Foreign websites that ofcom has already tried going after have pretty much told them to piss off. Also a massive data breach waiting to happen.

  • You can swear on the internet.

  • There was no fatphobia, if you are severely overweight you are shortening your lifespan and putting more strain on the health system. Cheap fried & processed meat products heavily contribute to poor cardiac health and weight gain.

  • Almost like the expectation of eating meat every day is unnatural and unhealthy. Im not a vegan or a vegetarian but I do keep eating meat to one to two days a week, as it was for most of human history. Eating meat everyday also contributes to the obesity crisis. This has also driven the expectations for cheap meat which is horrific for animal welfare, plant based food should be cheap but meat never should be given what goes into it.

  • If they can get into banking apps, stock trading apps, contacts etc etc its well worth the time breaking in. The actual theives are indeed dumb fuck low lives but its who they sell it to who can cause the damage, they often use leaked police tools to get access into phones to then abuse whats inside to their hearts content.

(This is also why its smart to use OSs like graphene OS which locks down the USB port)

  • Yes. I am not continuing it further as we'll never agree.

  • Oof, ty for that ill get to remedying it. Really wish the jellyfin project took security a bit more seriously

  • Doubt it, there are bots everywhere these days who'll try anything they find. Its part of why having 2FA is important along with hidden accounts with things such as jellyfin.
