  • Just my two cents, but there's just no reason for people to come here when it's 80+% political shit a

As a contra point, I'm glad that its like this, a lack of politcal debate is toxic to democracy and that way be dragons.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_and_circuses

In a political context, the phrase means to generate public approval, not by excellence in public service or public policy, but by diversion, distraction, or by satisfying the most immediate or base requirements of a populace, by offering a palliative: for example food (bread) or entertainment (circuses). Juvenal originally used it to decry the "selfishness" of common people and their neglect of wider concerns. The phrase implies a population's erosion or ignorance of civic duty as a priority.

That doesn't mean there shouldn't be more other stuff as well though.

  • Blue color pops up a little quicker in imessage /s

  • Well, the run on bullshit and the stink of lies, so any ol made up thing works to rally the fascists.

  • It really rustles my jimmies

Why ? Who gives a shit, they are people.

Should people born there have their "jimmies rustled" because immgrants we're allowed in at all ?

The fuck is worng with you ?

  • If the other 60% do nothing its like inviting nazis over dinner and being ok with that becase you're not a Nazi Yes you are! .

  • Humans organised by hierarchy.

It never works and always ends with civilisations that ever attempt it collapsing. No matter how often we do the same dumb shit over and over it never works.. Are we insane anons ?

  • Pretty sure there's no actual rules to declare things like this valid or invalid,

    The what now ?

Like the rules Russia is following ? Tjerr are no rules, that myth explpded when Putin invaded Crimea.and the promised defence never occured. There was an actual ruke that Russia, the US and Europe agreed to for Ukrine to give uo its nukes that if Russia invaded those counties would come to its defence.

    Waiting... FFS!

  • NATO is like the adult in the room that doesn't want to escalate further.

That's bullshit, they're a toddler hiding behind closed eyes going "la la la" and hoping "the bad man" goes away.

The EU is already at war with Russia.

  • We should have years ago, I think its impossible now. We use their IT everywhere for example, who hosts taz office records ? We have their military bases everywhere , look what happned to the ICC. How we let ourselves give up our digital soveriginety is an all time disaster thats unfurled.

The turning point for me was when George Bush was in then Australian Parliament and Senator Bob Brown was banned. An elected Australia senator was banned from Parlment. I started voting Green then.

We should really align ourselves with the EU and move away from the US.conplelty, the US jumped the shark with Trump the first time and we still didn't pay attention, going the ANKUS root is a fucking national embarrassment

Regardless you're not going to get any change from the ALP nor LNP, they're too embedded in the orthodoxy.

  • Why do journalists do this sort of thing

FOX has always said it's entertainment, not News. They use that defence in court cases. They're not journalists, they're entertainers.

  • You have the left wing politicians

    All 4 of them

  • Once upon a time :) there was a weekly thread way back in the day on Reddit about people showing their sketches done on the Galaxy Note 9 (android phone with a stylus).

Everyones like holy shit, thats good as people posted theirs. I jokingly posyed a poorly drawn stick figure. Someone commented that was about their ability back about a year ago, they then proceeded to ensure that every day they did a sketch getting better (Used Autodesk Sketchbook) and the stuff they then posted was incredible.

Moral of the story? I can't play my banjo, harmonica, guitar or sketch worth shit becase I don't have that discipline. 90% perspiration. Of course thw truly great sruff needs that extra 10% AS WELL. If you're a muso you definetly can!

I relate this story as that post of theirs made me really think. Years later I have a Samsung S22u and still can't sketch for shit :)

As to the OP, awesome work :)

  • Is he talking about killing Trump?

  • As an Australian, same here.

That said its bemused me as to why we're even there.

  • Well sure but to be fair they didn't have the correct visas. Most countries are anal about non citizens having the correct visas, especially while working illegally.

  • Wippermans are by far the best. Toolless to boot

  • Asuming they know where they are launched from, send in a couple.Tomahawks.

  • Like a kid, pushing boundaries

  • Assimov changed to writibg from being a Professor of Biochemistry, he gave the reaon as writing paid more.

  • I’m annoyed that they only regret their votes when it directly affects them negatively in a super clear and direct way.

That's a key identifier of conservatives ... and stupid people but I repeat myself.

"I did not mean that Conservatives are generally stupid; I meant, that stupid persons are generally Conservative" - John Stuart Mill

    And Cipolla

"A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses."
