  • Buddy, your political system is nothing like ours. We don’t have one all-or-nothing election. We have a Westminster system, we have a multiparty democracy, we have minority governments and the capacity for coalitions. Our supreme Court justices retire, our federalism is not broken like yours and we don’t have founding daddy issues that cripple us to blindly worshipping some 200 year old piece of paper.

You still have a first past the post. My rage applies to people who ignore tactical voting in order to maintain their sense of virtue.

Besides, based on what you've said for all I know if you were eligible to vote in the US, you'd abstain from voting or advocate that both parties were bad and complain about lesser evilism here.

Keep your rage your side of the border, your frame of reference does not translate to our system. Pipe down.

What happened to "You Americans act like you are the world, maybe pay attention to the rest of us."? If I'm to invest time in world events, I obviously am going to make some level of commentary.

That your country elected a government hostile to the Trump admin is very much my business. I am incredibly happy that your voting population has done so. I hope Carney embarrasses Trump. I hope he makes my fellow dipshit Americans who voted for Trump or failed to vote against him feels every ounce of bad decision making and evil and SUFFERS.

I've said it before, but if somehow in the future there was some military conflict between our countries, I would end up siding with your government in a heart beat and maybe even attempt to join your military... I would do things to MAGA homes that would have international watch dogs vomit at the sight of, my antipathy for MAGA is that intense.

  • Consequences matter. Maybe you are full of leftwing virtue but no one sane or intelligent cares.

Valuing your virtue over consequences makes you a threat to everyone, including yourself. You'll sink the ship for your principles and drag everyone down with you. So yes, if it minimizes you or your group's political influence it makes sense to call you a traitor.

Its what got my country Trump. I now feel a visceral internal rage when anyone tells me "Democrats and Republicans are the same." Regardless of what their actual politics are. Because I know they did not vote, they let this shit happen so they wouldn't "dirty their hands". I hate them. I despise them.

  • That phrase is aggressively fucking stupid.

Nothing is pure and virtue doesn't matter. And even if virtue did matter, when you decide not to choose you are just as culpable with the result when it is the worse evil.

You can't wash your hands if you had the power to act.

  • He's having a stroke or something

  • For some straight guys and gay ladies a girl could be mean to them and that'd increase how much they want them.

That's a fairly small subset though.

  • Yes on the first thing, but its more of a mixed bag on the second. There certainly are people that'd prefer easy though.

  • Stupid? No. Selfish.

  • Who cares. Fuck him.

  • They're only useless if they legitimately suck at their job or don't give a fuck.

A good project manager will go a long way to keeping things running smoothly.

  • Yeah, he made a huge mistake.

Its merely that most Americans are dumb as fuck.

  • Its weird, being smart can also bite a person in the ass in this respect. If you are a ruminator or over analyze you'll spiral yourself away from trying new stuff at a hair trigger.

  • One of the issues is a lot people don't want to do amateur stuff. They aren't comfortable even starting because then they'll start comparing themselves to others and begin self loathing.

"Ugh, I'm 32 years old and I draw like a 3 year old. Fuck this."

This applies to more than just art.

"I can barely manage to operate the basics of a computer there is no way I'll ever code."

"I have no sense of rhythm and I'm out of shape I'll never be able to dance and not look terrible."

"Can barely socialize platonically at all, there is no way I'll ever talk to that cute girl/boy, I'm going to die alone."

  • Are you suggesting drawing in sand with a penis?

  • I feel like this feature is a good idea that has come too late for me. I already "group" stuff via windows. That'll be a hard habit to break.

  • I have over 1300 games across various libraries (digital and physical)

If I have cash to spend and it fits into all of the following categories I basically always buy:

-80% off or more, or under $5, or its part of a "complete your collection" bundle that compounds its discount with an existing one.

-Its 8.5/10 or better (or is part of a series of games that I want to play through that has a 8.5+/10 within it.)

-in a genre/series I really really personally like.

But this actually eliminates a lot of temptations.

The only other alternative situation is if I want to play the game immediately but that never happens because I'm always playing through a series of games already it seems like. Right now I'm playing through my Tom Clancy collection. Its the last bit of Ubisoft games I intend to play before uninstalling uplay/ubi-connect (probably forever).

  • std::string independence;

  • You'd have to build new roots in a new place. I'll admit I worry that I'm running out of time for that at my age, or at the very least the window is closing.

Makes me feel pretty depressed. I'm not super happy with the landscape of people I have to interact with. I have a lot of decent friends but I feel like the number of very close friendships I have is zero due to a lot of major value differences and low population.

  • Fuck man, I wish I could afford move to Canada right now.
