  • More likely it’s Trump trying to get people to forget the Epstein files. Seriously, the man will generate or hijack any outrageous issue for his own short term goals.

  • Wow, what a wandering diatribe. I’m sure everyone is very taken by its commitment to peace.

  • It use to be said that you shouldn’t be afraid of your government however things have changed. If everyone starts wearing samurai or Halloween masks just to get some privacy it will just be another step in societal decline.

  • This one of those genie out of the bottle situation, we like some of the things AI can do yet it can do a lot of others that are not so good. Regulation won’t work as shown in this case, the work is done in Europe on a US issue. I suspect that we all will start wearing full face masks again.

  • Sounds very like playing to a particular audience and diverting attention to cultural issues rather dealing with issues of substance.

  • No, the takeover is real. Trump uses chaos as a distraction as a way to mask or change the focus. A large amount of the time he is devoted to making himself look good or divert attention from something that he doesn’t like. That’s part of why he does outrageous things.

  • It’s just the Epstein files distraction as well as the failure of the Ukraine peace Epstein files distraction failure.

  • It’s a bit like “my kids will only eat chocolate” and the therapist’s response “where are they getting the chocolate from?”. If the kids are using VPNs then where are they getting the money for the VPN from? Is this parental consent?

  • The First Nations people were pretty happy with Australia, it was the Europeans that found it a bit harsh. What do the native Martians think of Mars?

  • And if you are a fossil fuel billionaire or executive you probably won’t live where emissions can get you so you won’t care.

  • The First Nations people in the Northern Territory in Australia called an area “sickness country” and didn’t live there (that their history is about 60,000 to 70,000 years). In the mid 1900s it was developed to be a major uranium mining area. It seems that the first people decided that living too close to uranium was not a good thing.

  • People working on the Manhattan Project in the freezing desert used to warm their hands by holding lumps of uranium. A lot of life shortening moves available.

  • Belief implies blind acceptance. The insurance actuaries are very analytical people who have read and understood the science. There a difference between understanding and believing.

  • I use KVM and put Windows in a VM for those things that it still is needed for. Don’t use it much these days. Dual booting was just too difficult.

  • If you didn’t vote you effectively voted for the winner as it is only by voting that you can say that you didn’t vote for him.

  • A bit of due diligence may have been helpful in their decision making. Nothing of substance about Trump was not known before the election.

  • It’s a game! They don’t call it big game hunting for nothing. We all know how it works, if you get killed you just start the level again.

  • As 2/3 of Americans effectively voted for Trump, it seems that they must be quite pleased with the result.
