  • I was so annoyed that Google bought both Pebble and Fitbit, then did... absolutely nothing with them. Would've loved a low-end (sub $100) fitness tracker with ePaper.

Best thing they did was to release the pebble rights back to the creators.

  • Do you want the short answer, or a longer history?

    But basically, Organic:

    • Is governed by a for-profit company
    • Lacks transparency
    • Added affiliate links to locations on the map

And since the fork, CoMaps have been moving swiftly in adding features as seen here. I don't know what's been happening to Organic, as I've stopped following them.

  • Razer Nari

My sleepy arse read that completely differently..

  • I don't think I need to emphasize this more: everything in writing! When HR decides to do nothing, and the problem escalated, you and your coworkers will have proof that you have complained (hopefully many times), and that nothing was done.

When I say escalated, it could be anything. From complaining directly to higher management that HR is useless; to the whole department doing a mass walk-out. Either way, you need proof that you have made complaints and that they fell on deaf ears.

  • Even in the communications context. We've had two-way radio comms for a really long time. Walkie-talkies have been around for almost 90 years.

  • The poll was done by redbridge, one of the major political pollsters here. Though pollsters do occasionally get it wrong on political issues, I honestly don't think they would publish such an overwhelming result if they didn't believe it was robust.

Though the op's article was from October, the poll was done and published early this year, just before our federal elections. The same election where the conservatives tried to go with MAGA-style culture wars. So if I had to guess, there may be an element of fatigue with the strategy of cosying up with the far right fringes shown in the result of the poll.

And yet they still didn't get the message. After their disastrous loss, there were still many in the party that said it was because they didn't go far enough right..

  • Initial set up cost is likely slightly cheaper for 3d printing. But unlike gaming, you can't pirate the consumables.

  • Yeah this is a sore point. Whenever management says, "the company decided..." I really want to stop them and scream, "Who?! Who in the company decided?!"

  • I’m not saying it wasn’t safe, it’s just perhaps not quite as safe as some of the other ones.

  • Do you remember what the one with better algo was? I've got some friends in the education sector that had to deal with the turnitin BS from the other side.

  • Except they weren't always Adobe.

  • Also, Lazy is thread safe. Gary's code is not.

  • Are you stupid? There's no layer......oh I see.

I really hate modern media. What's wrong with criticise, condemn, or even denounce?

IronFox and Fennec. Both are hardened Firefox.
