I remember way back when I was solo-sysadmin for a company and the new IT-manager wanted to move everything to O365 and "the cloud". He claimed it was because of increased stability. My issue with this was that O365 had 13 or something days of downtime that year, while our locally hosted stuff had something like 4-6 hours due to a power failure, at night.
Managed to keep it local until I left. They outsourced the IT-department after that.
I'm tired of helping companies move back and forward between Google Workspace and O365 while pretending I still work in IT.
I guess the most commonly used word to describe a poop in Swedish can't be used anymore. Bajskorv, or poop sausage.
This decision is beyond stupid and smells of corruption. Sausage, burger etc. have been used to describe the shape of things for decades. I could agree that plant beef, or halumi pork would be an issue, but not this.
And that most of these appliances are pretty much irrelevant in the modern world, just staying around because people think they need them. A convection oven with an induction stove on top replaces microwave, kettle, toaster etc.
EDIT: Not sure why I'm getting downvoted. It's obviously not ideal for every situation. Like for example I have a kettle, but only because I can set i to hold a specific temperature for when I brew coffee (94°C) and tea (80°C) which would be less convenient to do on my induction stove, even though it boils water faster.
Meraki is just e-waste without it's (really expensive) license. I've seen cheaper licences floating around on sketchy websites but wouldn't recommend it.
The Swedish Nazi Party (SD) wanted to hold a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk in the EU-parliament and threw a hissy fit when denied. Them and their allies the Moderate party, the Liberal party, and the Christan party have been on the news constantly complaining about nonexistent "left wing violence" for the last couple of months. So we'll likely see a sharp increase in political violence from them in the coming election.
As I've gotten older that annoyance has turned into disappointment. Especially when these "fake it til you make it"-people will take extreme offence to being proven wrong.
I'm guessing we were small enough for it to never be an issue. Only around 100 people. Started on Exchange 2003 so things were pretty routine.
