  • Well that was a fun read!

To be fair, it’s cause you can speak faster that way.

  • To be fair to Marge, she only cared about violence being a bad thing after Maggie (the baby) got influenced and beat up Homer.

So it was less that she just doesn’t like it, but it actually affected her negatively, which is still on point.

  • The rest of my phone: am I a joke to you?

  • Kind of points out the ridiculousness of it though

  • How about a reverse siren, temps you by offering to give you blissful ignorance.

  • This post made me realize something.

Up until blu ray, the value proposition for buying electronics was always an absolute upgrade over the old tech.

You could do everything you wanted with DVDs that you could do with VHS and more (rewind, commentary).

Same thing with blue ray, sure the price might not have been worth the quality bump, but it was superior technology.

Ever since fucking Netflix it’s the opposite, the quality is lower and no extras + you lose access.

Seriously, Netflix introduced the idea of treating digital customers like shit by giving less for more and it worked so everyone is following it

  • That’s not cyberpunk though, more solar punk imo.

Cyberpunk is all about unideal but pretty optimal solutions.

  • Now THIS is the cyberpunk reality I want to live in!

  • This but with coffee might work in some high density housing.

  • Which implies there are benefits to being your friend, it’s just not those 3.

  • Face says

“What do you mean it’s not for me??”

  • What is sad is that an environment like this ruins someone’s mental health and ironically increasing the overall risk of violence.

  • I mean, where's the towering brutalist architecture?

I think China is doing a good job at that.

  • Confirmed, the size of that is indeed big for its intended use

  • After years of bullshit, corruption and nepotism, we as a society (or a critical mass of it) accepted that lies and bullshit is a part of life.

I really think that’s what is going on here, we filled our reality with contradictions and things that drive us crazy, now a large percentage of the population are okay listening to inefficient guessing machines.

Seriously, the fact that hallucinations didn’t kill the hype is, imo, a hallmark of being in a post truth era.

This is not the mindset that made computers and the Internet. Feels more like late stage Rome.

  • With them releasing games for PC, there isn’t much incentive except maybe price, but you could always do a budget PC.

While I like the idea of a PS5 a lot, it feels irrelevant in 2025

  • They could also have wireless power or just very good tiny generators.

Why use a battery when you can just have tiny fusion reactors in every house/ship that broadcasts power for all your needs.

Like them pylons in star craft

  • Child trafficking with some eugenics sprinkled in.

Really fucked up, and this is what we know during the war, imagine what could come out after.
